Announcement   I just love going antiquing! It's like going on a treasure hunt. I never know what I am going to find. And when I do find something, I wonder what fascinating tales it would tell me if it could talk. My two favorite things to collect are powder compacts and cups & saucers. So have FUN in my shop, while you go on a treasure hunt!

I especially love vintage compacts! Their excellent quality together with their many styles and designs makes them still popular even today. It's as though each one was given its own personality. They simply don't make them like that anymore! There's no doubt in my mind that almost every woman, back in the day, carried a beautiful compact. I can just imagine the conversations and the second looks that took place whenever someone pulled out a compact from their purse. In those days, a compact to a woman was like a wallet to a man...a must have. So find that special one you wouldn't mind carrying in YOUR purse.

My shop also includes a variety of cups & saucers. To the collector's imagination... imagine how beautiful these would look in your china cabinet. As you stand back, admiring your collection, you noticed for the first time, how the dim lighting elegantly dances over each piece. You are drawn in by their beauty and you wonder how they survived all these years.

To the many who still love and find great joy in using these pieces... imagine sitting by a fire, on a cold wintry night, reading a good book and sipping tea/coffee from your favorite cup & saucer that is over 100 years old. YOUR "cup of tea" awaits.

About

An antique lost or broken is a piece of history removed from the world forever!

I love antiquing. Whenever I walk into an antique shop, the aging aroma of generations immediately penetrate my nostrils. Then the hunt begins! It is so thrilling because I never know what I am going to find. And when I do find something that intrigues me, I immediately let my imagination run away with me. I would begin wondering about what sort of history that that treasure left behind; and if it could talk, what kind of fascinating tales would it tell me!

These fine treasures of long ago are much too beautiful to be kept in the past or hidden away. They are memories and a part of history that must be preserved and passed down to generation to generation to be used, to be loved and to be enjoyed.

My favorite things to collect are ladies compacts and cups & saucers. My hope is to see all my collections enjoyed and become part of a new generation of collectors!

Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

Yes. I will only gift wrap powder compacts and purses. Please let me know what the occasion is so I can select the right wrapping paper.

Care instructions

Please be careful when you remove the bubble wrap from your cup & saucer set! This is so not to break the delicate handle.
NEVER immerse your compact in water. Clean the outside with a damp cloth. DO NOT scratch off labels and residue from your compact! Use a drop of goo gone spray gel to remove it. DO NOT let the gel drip down when removing labels and residue from the mirror!
To clean the inside powder bed, remove any powder residue with either a dry Q-tip or a very soft toothbrush. DO NOT wet the powder bed!
Clean the mirror with any type of glass cleaner. Spray a little on a cloth and not directly onto the mirror. This will prevent getting anything behind the mirror, which could loosen it, as well as, ruin the reflective coating.
