Lovely very happy with this bracelet :)
Turning struggle into beauty, one creation at a time.
Many, many people go through tough, tough times. Some will go their whole lives without ever receiving the help they need. Fortunately for me, that's not how my story ends - in fact, it's actually how the story of 'Rehab Crafts' begins!
In 2006, I sought help for some deep issues after my mother almost died of breast cancer. While in treatment, I rediscovered one of my favourite things to do as a child - crafts! I painted, made jewelry, even learned to work with wood a little. I learned to play the guitar and turned my poetry into songs. After making what I thought was one particularly stunning collaged keepsake box, I gave it to my friend for his birthday. What he said to me turned into the unofficial name I gave to all of my future creations.
I've fallen in love with many mediums for my creativity, but none moreso than jewelry (and music... and writing - can't forget that). It's something I started as a young child with seed beads and thread, and that continues to deepen as my life goes on.
Rehab Crafts' Etsy presence has waxed and waned over the years as I've travelled, lived life, moved again and again, and started a family. Its creative presence, however, is never-ending.
"Thanks for giving me your Rehab Crafts"!

Hi, I'm Rebecca! I'm a happily single mother to an amazing little girl. I love to write music and poetry, I love reading, learning, traveling, and photography, cats, my city, and using my hands to create anything my mind can't explain with words.
My shop name has been around unofficially since 2005. I was going through a difficult time and out of it was borne some of my most creative inspirations, and tons and tons of artwork! I made a special gift for one of my friends during this time, and he made a joke about receiving one of my 'rehab crafts'. I loved it!
