The Fascination of Meteorites, Gems and Pearls

I found the idea for my shop during a visit to a mineral and gem show.
Men of all ages seemed to share my fascination with minerals, gems, meteorites and tektites. Quite a number of them wore necklaces or bracelets. But I saw nothing that connected with their admiration for meteorites and minerals.
I started looking for suitable material that I could use to create jewelry for men - small pieces of meteorites, beads made from tektites like moldavit or obsidian and black raw diamonds.
As a gift for a lady friend of mine I created a necklace of white seedpearls and pink tourmaline. It was much admired, so I began thinking about jewelry for women and girls, too.
I use untreated natural genuine gemstones and other natural materials like pearls, corals, wood and bone. Sometimes together with ceramic and glass beads from Bohemia or Japan. Metal is usually sterling silver and stainless steel. Occasionally solid gold, too.

I like to imagine special themes when I create my jewelry. Mostly themes that are connected to the material I use.
"Stardust" is for jewelry made with meteorites, obsidian and tektites - not only for men.
"Ocean Treasures" has pearls, stones like amazonite or larimar, and of course also beads of coral, mother-of-pearl, amber and shells.
"Diamonds for You" will have bracelets and necklaces from raw and facetted diamonds in their natural colours - preferably for elegant men.
"The Dragon's Hoard" will show jewelry made from precious gemstones like ruby, blue sapphire, tourmaline, violet blue tansanite and very rare blue natural zircon which has only recently been discovered in a mine in Cambodia. In fact, all kinds of gemstones in their natural untreated appearance excite me with their beauty and singularity.
"African Heritage" will reflect my interest in ethnology, in the cultural history of the peoples of Africa. Here I intend to use antique and very old beads which an African friend brings from his home. I will also offer one or the other rare bead for sale to bead collectors, as I believe that their interest and research helps to preserve cultural heritage.
