I love what I do!
I didn't actually start my Etsy shop, while I was living in Wyoming, but because I was living there, a chain of events happened and set it up for me to open my shop........
Here's the abreviated vesion :) (you are welcome!)
I found myself in an unfamiliar place, with no friends (besides my husband and two teen kids) and no job. I also found myself, unexpectantly, expecting my third child. With nothing to constructively spend my time on... I found myself going a little stir crazy.
Then I found a $15 sewing machine at a thrift store. I turned the skills that my Mother taught me (she's been an upholsteress for nearly 40 years), into baby clothes, diapers, blankets and toys.
Not wanting to add to the earth's possessions, I browsed the thrift shops and my family's closets, for my materials. I soon became obsessed with giving new life to outgrown or unloved articles.
Etsy provides me with a way to stay at home with my children, while saving the planet, one article of clothing at a time!
I still have that original $15 sewing machine, but it's now my teenage daughter's. I've since aquired several more :)
Thank you for your time, consideration and support!
