Não me lembro como foi que me deparei com Etsy quando tinha 17 anos, mas me lembro da minha primeira impressão. Fiquei atordoado. Foi um alívio e alegria incríveis ver que as pessoas estavam conseguindo não só fazer o que amam, mas fazê-lo com sucesso! Eu sabia que queria fazer parte disso. Vendo outros tricôs prosperando em Etsy, eu pensei "Eu posso fazer isso", e pomba direito em quase imediatamente.

Não fazia ideia que decolaria como decolou. Estou extremamente grato por ser recebido por uma comunidade tão incrível.

P.S. Eu encontrei o homem de tricô visto acima em um arquivo de revista LIFE, e eu aspiro a ser ele quando eu envelhecer.

I can’t remember how it was that I first stumbled upon Etsy when I was 17, but I remember my first impression. I was stunned. It was an incredible relief and joy to see that people were managing to not only do what they love, but to do it successfully! I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Seeing other knitters thriving on Etsy, I thought “I can do that,” and dove right in almost immediately.

I had no idea it would take off like it did. I'm extremely grateful to be received by such an incredible community.
