Announcement   COUPON CODE: MAY30 for 30% off until May 31. My Brick & Mortar story began in 1979 with my first little shop in Virginia called "Roseann's Trinkets to Treasures'". Married to an Army officer, we moved frequently and my store moved with me, each one getting a little bigger than the last! In Kentucky, I changed the name to "Roseann's Nostalgia Boutique", which operated in the early to mid 1980s. In the late 1980s, my husband was stationed at Ft. Dix, N.J. and my store there took on another name change now calling it "Remember When" which lasted in New Jersey until 1992. After my husband retired from the Army, we moved to Pennsylvania, opened Remember When there and remained in business until 2012 when I closed my brick & mortar and decided to just sell online. I started selling on eBay in 2000 and then a friend turned me on to Etsy and have been selling here ever since!
I moved South in 2014 when my husband retired for the second time and he wanted me to retire as well but I really missed having a shop and decided to open one in "Historic" Twin City, Georgia which I now call 5th Avenue Vintage & Antiques!
Vintage clothing, New Old Stock, deadstock, ephemera, compacts, cigarette cases, handbags, neckties and bowties, shoes, gloves, hats, lingerie fills my brick & mortar store as well as my Etsy store with unique items being listed almost daily!
Check out my second shop filled with antique and vintage jewelry as well as handcrafted jewelry:

Hi everyone and welcome to Remember When Emporium. This shop will be designed after my brick and mortar store called Remember When. I deal in men, women and children's vintage clothing, as well as women's handbags, compacts and smoking accessories, men's ties, shoes and other items that one might have found in an old emporium or dry goods store. Many of the items featured were photographed in the books that I wrote on vintage clothing and accessories. My main focus, however, will always be antique and period jewelry which can be found on my other Etsy store called...The Popular Jewelry after my series of books called "Popular Jewelry".

Most of our items are Deadstock or Old Store Stock as I have been buying out old store for the past 30 years! I have been selling online since 1999 but we are new to Etsy. Bear with us as we fill out store..lots of treasures will be listed!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
We accept Paypal, US Postal Money Orders and Cashier's Checks. If using Paypal, payment is expected within 24 hours. Money orders and cashier's checks would be appreciated within 7 days of purchase. If not immediately paying with paypal, please send us a message letting us know your method of payment.

We would be glad to put a RESERVE on a particular item for 24 HOURS as long as arrangements can be made to purchase the item within a reasonable time period. If you would like to make a LAYAWAY and purchase several items at once, we offer that service also and can discuss details via a conversation. A deposit would have to be made initially and then payment arrangements can be made.
Shipping
All purchases are shipped within 24 hours of payment received except on weekends and holidays. Unless otherwise specified or requested, jewelry will be sent First Class mail with Delivery Confirmation. Insurance is at the buyers request and will acrue an additional fee. Items are always packed with care!

International sales will be shipped First Class International Mail and this does NOT include insurance or tracking numbers. Once it leaves the county, I cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages. Sorry! Priority Mail International can be used and flat rate envelopes are now $16.95; boxes are higher. The flat rate provides a standard insurance up to $100.00. Please contact me if purchasing an item from overseas and we can discuss shipping options.
Refunds and Exchanges
All items being sold are either antique or vintage so all sales are considered final. We try and accurately describe each item. If there is a flaw it is discussed in the description and shown in the photograph. We pride ourselves in being honest and would never deceive to try and make a sale. We encourage questions from buyers and if additional photos are needed, don't hesitate to ask.

There are "no refunds" for buyer's remorse. If a return is warranted due to a gross misrepresentation of an item, a refund will be given less the shipping fees. The item must be returned in the original condition and packaging within 2 days of receipt of the item. Buyer pays for all shipping fees. Please contact us first before anything is actually returned to discuss any details.
Additional policies and FAQs
Vintage clothing in most cases, has been worn and will, at times, display signs of that.. If it is an item than came out of an old store that was liquidated, we will refer to that as "New/Old Stock", NOS or "Deadstock". Many of those pieces are in Mint or near Mint condition unless otherwise specified. Sometimes, even a piece of old store stock can be flawed from the way it was stored; it might also have a defect that was made in its original manufacture.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! We would be glad to answer any of your concerns. Thanks so much!
