Announcement   Welcome the the Deb Hart's etsy shop! Deb Hart is a polymer clay artist that specializes in the unique art of polymer clay millefiori caning. Polymer clay is a man-made clay that comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors that can be molded and cured. It is extremely durable and extremely versatile. Deb Hart uses it to create millefiori canes.

Millefiori technique originated with glass - where the glass artist created designs and pictures in glass by using different rods of color. The process with polymer clay is similar. The artist sculpts an image into a block or log of clay and then that clay in stretched and lengthened, reducing the image in size. The results are used for jewelry, covered objects or other inventive creations.

About

Following a dream

I ask myself every day how I got to this place and time. The blessing that I am able to live and work in a medium that gives me joy and defines my life is one that came about by trial. Every difficulty that I have lived through has helped bring something positive into my life that has furthered my art and ultimately led to today. So, I'm a firm believer in being strong in character, positive in motivation, and understanding that through all bad things, life can bring positive change. Thank you for sharing my blessing.

Additional policies and FAQs
► Do you have additional beads?

I often do have more beads than what is listed. If you'd like me to edit your order to include a few more of the beads please let me know! Or, for many of what I sell, you can buy the beads as Made-to-Order.

► How does Made-to-Order work?

Many of my beads are a similar design on several bead shapes. Since I make my own canes, I can often recreate designs as needed. For Made-to-Order beads:

• You scoop up the sets you want or see them in my Sold Items and let me know
• I convo you with my projected finish & ship date, usually 1-2 weeks or less
• I send the beads out, you have new lovelies!

A note about Made-to-Order: The beads are made with the latest batch of canes (the designs) I have for that theme. There may be slight variations from the 'stock' photo.

► Are clay beads durable?

Yes, they are. Like any other art bead, they need to be treated well - cleaning should be done with a soft rag and warm water. Hair sprays or perfumes should be applied ahead of jewelry using these beads as the chemicals in those products can strip the finishes over time.

While the beads are waterproof I always suggest removing jewelry (any jewelry) before washing dishes, swimming or bathing.

► Do you do custom orders?

Custom orders are cheerfully attempted. Convo me and we can see if I can help you!

► Do you offer wholesale or volume discounts?

I do! Volume discounts are often built into the prices of my bead sets. For example, I regularly sell six beads for the price of 5. If you are interested in much larger quantities, we can work out discounts based on that, as well.

If you need to discuss volume or wholesale options, please convo me and we can arrange the details including order lead time.
