Announcement   Christmas Sale is happening now! 15% off store wide until the 25th!

We are going to change things up around the shop. Over the next few months we will be liquidating my own personal 30+ year collection of glass, porcelain, stone, and wood items. There are some very rare items in my collection so you will have to check back often to keep track of new listings. If there is something you've been searching for to fill a hole in your own collection of porcelain or glass but you don't see it listed drop us a line and ask, chances are we have it, have had it at one time, or can find it in our network. Although I don't collect much of it we also have a good variety of silver and silver plate serving pieces, copper pieces, brass oddities, some bronze items, and other metals we haven't identified yet. And let's not forget the toys! Yes even the antique metal and plastic toys are going up for sale. On top of all the above we also still carry fine antique and vintage jewelry, and have a ton of new stuff to post.

It's going to be an interesting next few months, hope you will join us as we unravel 3+ decades of collecting!

We have always carried a wide range of vintage and antique sterling silver, and sometimes gold, items. Now we are going back to our roots and will be carrying a little of everything. Whether you're looking for beautiful antique or vintage items to wear, collect, display, for resale, or for any other occasion, you have come to the right place. Welcome to Replays and Things, the shop where you can find just about anything vintage or antique.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Jewelry? We have it
Porcelain figurines? We have it
Porcelain dinnerware? Definitely and a lot of it
Pottery? Yep, have that too, and a lot of it
Glass? Oh my goodness! This has been my passion for many years so expect more of it than anything else. Carnival glass, lead crystal, antique brilliant cut crystal, green glass, blue glass, pink glass, yellow glass, custard glass, ruby glass, amber glass, amberina glass, and too many more colors to list.
Military items? Yep some of that too
Clocks? yep
Watches and watch parts? Goodness yes. Have bands for about every watch ever made and tons of new and used parts for everything. These items are back burner so if looking for something message us.
Paperweights? Have many. I know part of the glass section but have so many they needed to be mentioned.
Marbles? Yes for days. Same as above but have so many will take months to go through them all.

I'll stop here. There's so much more though. But I think you get the picture. It's coming, the flood of items like has never been seen before!

About

From collecting to thriving business!

Replays and Things was originally started in an effort to catalog our own collections, and to liquidate what didn’t fit into those collections. As our business grew we realized that we needed to open ourselves up to a larger audience, so we started looking into how we could expand. In 2012 we made the move to an online business model, and since have moved 100% of our business online.

In the beginning we sold a little of just about every type of antique and vintage item you can imagine. Porcelain collectibles and dinnerware, glass collectibles, bottles, jars, and dinnerware, sillisculpts, costume and fine jewelry, accessories for men and women, pins and buttons, silverware and silver plate, military items, and so much more. Since the middle of 2014 we have phased out most of these items to focus on our fine jewelry. In the future we hope to be bringing these other items back, but that will depend a lot on having the resources and time to do so.

We are going back to our roots! Read on for more info...

The future has arrived everyone! 4 years ago I posted the above paragraph. I am back to say it's coming. Over the next few months we are going to start liquidating my own personal 30+ year collection which is an all encompassing collection. There will be all kinds of porcelain and pottery, very type of glass imaginable, wood items, all types of metal items, antique toys, and so much more. We are going to flood the shop like has never been seen before. Get ready!

Like most we started with the two big E’s, eBay and Etsy. We found out very fast that eBay did not fit our business as well as Etsy, so we focused much more on our Etsy store. We established ourselves on our attention to detail, customer service, a large following, and 5 star feedback on both platforms.

We started our own website in 2015, https://replaysand things.com
The site expanded quickly and became much too much to handle while still selling at both other places. Instead of raising prices on everything and moving all items to just the website, I decided to take down the store on site and move everything to Etsy. Reasoning behind this was, and behind having to raise prices, was an advertising budget. When we crunched the numbers of what it would take to generate the traffic we needed to our site to realize the same level as what we have here, we found that we would spend quite a bit more money driving traffic than what we spend here in fees. We also know from experience the level of time and commitment it would take to keep the site up.

So instead of running a store on the site we have decided to use it to catalogue all of the research we have done on our items including jewelry, glass, and porcelain makers marks and dates of manufacture, and how and where we found that information. Hopefully this can save others the time and headache of doing that research, it gets quite exhausting sometimes.

There will also be blog posts focusing on subjects that have to do with our business, both online and off, and focusing on privacy and anonymity both on the net and off because let's face it you have no privacy on the net anymore. Every move you make is tracked by one company or another. You Will Not be tracked coming to, on, or leaving our site.

Any and all feedback or suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Thank you, and happy shopping!

Returns and exchange details
We will accept returns no questions asked on all items except Coins and Paper Money, but there are conditions:

-You must contact us within 3 days of when the tracking says the item was delivered.
-Item must be in same condition as when it left(this includes being uncleaned).
-Buyer must pay return shipping, and item must be shipped back within 3 days of contact with a tracking number.
-Refund will be processed once the item is received and has met all requirements above.

COINS AND PAPER MONEY CAN NOT BE RETURNED. WE PROVIDE LARGE CLEAR PICTURES SO PLEASE USE THEM TO MAKE YOUR DECISION, OR ASK FOR MORE BEFORE PURCHASING.

All of our items are vintage and/or antique, please remember this and ask for more pictures before ordering if you need them to make a more informed decision. Our listings will always have any information about damage or wear, and pictures will always show these flaws, but we are not without flaw ourselves, so if you feel you have not received the item as it was listed, please contact us for a solution.

If you receive an item damaged in the mail it must be brought to our attention immediately, that day, please do not delay. Please save item and all packaging as we will probably need a picture of it at the least and we may need the item shipped back.
Payment
We will accept all forms of major credit cards and Paypal. If you need alternate payment methods feel free to contact us.
Shipping
We do Not use any kind of fancy packaging or gift boxes, please keep this in mind when ordering. All items are placed in zip lock bags where applicable, bubble wrapped, and shipped in appropriately sized boxes. We keep it simple like this to keep shipping costs low. We do occasionally have a few used gift boxes for jewelry items, if you would like one let us know, if we have some available we will recycle them.

NOTE: WE ARE CURRENTLY COMPLETELY OUT OF GIFT BOXES. We are sorry if this causes an inconvenience.

All orders are shipped the same or the next business day. We do NOT use bubble envelopes, all orders are bubble wrapped and sent in appropriate size boxes to help prevent damage before it happens.

Coins and paper money are Only shipped USPS Priority Mail Insured whether domestic or international and all orders $100 or more will require signature confirmation, no exceptions.

All other items:
To keep shipping costs reasonable, and so purchases will arrive quickly, domestic shipping will be USPS Priority Mail. We have decided to use only Priority shipping from now on. The shipping cost has been split between us, the Seller, and you, the Buyer. Average cost to ship Priority Mail not including material costs(bubble wrap, tape, paper, ink, etc.) is over $7.00 for a small flat rate box. You pay $4.00 and we pay the difference.

International shipping price listed for jewelry is based on 4 oz package or less and using USPS First Class International rates. If you purchase multiple items and shipping amount exceeds what our cost is by more than $1, the difference will be refunded to you after our labels have been printed for that day. Any and all taxes, customs and/or additional fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Since the laws of each country are changing constantly, please check your country's restrictions before ordering as we will not be held responsible for charges incurred because of said restrictions (example: if an item is returned to us by customs because it is restricted in your country, we will refund the price of the item, but not the shipping cost. If package happens to be confiscated by customs because of country restrictions, no refund will be given). Please allow 2-6 weeks for delivery. Upgrade to Priority International available during checkout.

Both Domestic and International customers please have some patience with us as we bring all our larger items back into the shop. It has been 4 years since we moved to jewelry only, and that greatly simplified our shipping. Now we are bringing it all back so it will take a while to get costs figured out.

-If shipping is less than you paid you WILL be refunded the difference.

-If shipping is more than you paid but there's not an outrageous amount of difference, we will absorb that cost.

-If shipping is much more than you paid for some reason we will contact you and try to work something out; if a solution can not be reached you will be refunded 100%.

We ship Monday-Saturday. Any orders before 11am ET will be shipped same day, all other orders will ship next business day unless other arrangements are made. We will combine multiple item purchases into one shipment whenever possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
-Please don't take our low prices to mean there is something wrong with the item. We work very hard to buy at low prices so we can pass that on to our customers. All prices are based solely on our purchase price.
-All fine jewelry metals are tested for purity and guaranteed to be as listed.
-All gemstones are electronically tested and genuine, but while electronic testing will tell us what the stone is, it will not distinguish between man made and natural stones.
-We do not discriminate by what country something was made in, since everything is tested it does not matter to us. Just because it is from another country does not make it "junk".
-Just because an item is marked does not mean it is real. Every single item we sell is tested and guaranteed to be what we say it is.
-Very rarely will we list something that is damaged. On occasion we may list an item that is damaged, but damage will be explained in description. Some things, even damaged, are just too pretty to throw away or scrap.
-Absolutely none of our pictures are edited in any way. They are listed exactly as they were taken by our small point and shoot camera. We do this because we want you to have the best possible representation of the product.

We try to recycle(reuse) shipping materials whenever possible. This includes using old boxes, old jewelry packaging, and old bubble wrap(only clean used items, nothing dirty). If you prefer to have your items shipped with new materials only for some reason, please send us a message stating such desire when you make a purchase and we will accommodate you. Thank you.

All of our items are purchased, found, or dug up by us personally. Our policy has always been to offer our items as we found them, and only to clean an item as needed to identify it. While this is great for very old collectible jewelry, we have adjusted this policy so we now clean all items before listing except those that would lose their value by cleaning. We use a non toxic cream silver and/or gold cleaner with anti tarnish compound followed by washing with warm water and anti bacterial Dial soap. We recommend cleaning an item one more time when you receive it with warm water and mild soap(we use an anti bacterial dial soap) before wearing. This is to be sure that every remnant of the cream cleaner we use is removed.

PLEASE NOTE: Harsh liquid jewelry cleaners and dips are NOT recommended, especially with inlay and pearl jewelry as it could cause permanent damage. These dips can also cause sterling silver and gold items to change color, which is permanent. Silver and gold items are not 100% pure, they are mixed with "other" metals to make them stronger. This is why there are different levels of purity marked on silver/gold items, e.g. silver markings .925, .800, .850 etc. actually means there is 92.5%, 80%, 85% silver in the product, and gold items are marked 10k, 14k, 18k, and 24k and translates to 41.7%, 58.5%, 75% gold in the product, and 24k is supposed to be 100% but rarely is, usually closer to between 90-95%. The difference in the above percentages is made up of the "other" metals for strength(Silver And Gold are very soft metals and without the mixture of "other" metals I've been discussing they would break very easily, much easier than they do now).

There is no industry standard for what metals are used in the mix so unless tested by a lab you nor I can know what that mixture is. The two most common "other" metals are copper and nickel. Sterling silver mixed with copper, when dipped in chemical dips improperly, will change a brownish color that is not fixable because the copper reacts to the chemical dip. Same thing happens with gold but is less noticeable because of golds already yellow color(this is only one example. Over the years I personally have ruined many very beautiful pieces of jewelry because I did not know what I know now. I say "lesson learned", and have always said a lesson learned the hard way is a true lesson learned). We will not be held responsible for improper cleaning.

The item(s) described and pictured is what you will receive. We do our best to give accurate descriptions and provide the best pictures possible. If you need more pictures or information to make a better informed purchase decision, please ask and we will respond promptly with information requested.
