5 out of 5 starsI seriously can’t even with how cute these bees are. If you read my previous review, you already know I love this seller and will continue to praise their small business to anyone who will listen!! They make adorable gifts for that special person and bring a beautiful touch to any space needing a that extra little creative sprinkle! The communication and care put into creating and packaging any items has always been AMAZING even before I knew they had an Etsy! 🖤 100/10!!!

5 out of 5 starsLet me first say, I have been buying from Virginia before I even knew they had an Etsy and will continue to push everyone I know into supporting them. They are sweet, caring and such a creative individual, I still can’t get over the pieces they make. I love that all of their products are always humanly acquired and honored in each unique piece! This round of shopping, I bought two of these beautiful bees but unfortunately the mail carrier abused them, (*insert eye roll here*), I immediately let Virginia know of the situation and they have gone above and beyond my wildest expectations time and time again. I truly cannot recommend a better Etsy seller. So if you are thinking about supporting their small business, DO IT!

Requiem : An act or token of remembrance
I started Requiem Artwork as a way to share my love of nature and anything strange and usual!! I love creating, so I decided to combine the two and make art! I like to think of my work as giving life after death to the animals I use. I use only ethically sourced bone and insects in my pieces!! No animals, no matter how small will be killed just to make my art. I'm also a forager and study herbology so you'll notice that about 95% of the plants I use, I have either foraged or grown myself!

I love custom orders!! Feel free to message me and let me know what you had in mind with as many details as possible so that I can give you a price quote.
Do you kill the animals and insects you use? Where do you get them? What about bats? I hear they are not ethically sourced.
I do not/would not kill anything I use for my art!! Some I find already dead and I process them myself but some I order from sellers who I trust that ethically source the animals and that help promote conservation of the different species. As for the bats I've learned that ethically sourced does not necessarily mean sustainably sourced. Bats from certain countries are being hunted at an alarming rate. Therefore I always make sure they come from a place where they are ethically and sustainably sourced. I make sure they are properly preserved and certified. These specimens will also have to pass inspection. They will also have to be regulated by the Fish and Wildlife Services and every specimen must be approved to be in this country.
Are there insects you wont work with?
Yes. I will not work with praying mantises! Or most spiders
Gift wrapping and packaging
Please let me know immediately!!! I will be more than happy to send a replacement or issue a refund. Please understand that the products I make are EXTREMELY fragile. Unfortunately, sometimes with handling its normal for an antennae or legs to fall off due to the fragility of those parts. However, nothing else should be damaged and if it is please contact me immediately!! While I make every effort to ship them safely, once it goes to the post office they are out of my hands.
Are they real?
Yes! They are 100% real. I do pin and preserve them myself!
Care instructions
Most can be hung on a wall but they all can be displayed on flat surfaces. Do not expose them to direct sunlight as this could ruin the colors. Also keep them out of rooms with high moisture/humidity. Jewelry should not be worn to swim or take a shower. The wings will be destroyed if they get wet. They tend to turn black!
