About

Modern Jewellery and Accessories

Haru= Spring
Aki= Autumn
They are also the middle names of my youngest children, both born in Japan.

Haruaki started as a side project in my tiny apartment in Nagoya, Japan. It has become a labour of love and gives me a chance to focus on a process-intensive craft as well as considering the aesthetics of our age.
I am a writer by nature so making things with my hands helps to balance my tendency to get lost in my head.
My studio is currently off the coast of Nagasaki but will soon be located in Hiroshima.

I keep a blog here: gu-choki-pa.blogspot.com
And can be found on Instagram with the same handle: https://www.instagram.com/gu-cho-ki-pa

Returns and exchanges
I will gladly give you a refund if the item is in any way damaged or not what you expected. I do ask that you request a refund within two weeks of receiving your order. I will happily exchange your item for the same or equivalent with due cause.
Payment
We accept anything and everything in terms of payment. We do not ship without payment first.
Shipping
Since all the pieces currently in the shop are ready-to-ship, the only processing required after your payment goes through is to resize your jewellery to your specification, then re-polish and pack. Your jewellery is shipped in a small drawstring bag inside of a padded envelope.
We ship all packages via Japan Post and usually through the Small Packet Service which keeps the prices down. The usual shipping time for a ring is about 1-2 weeks so keep that in mind if you are in a rush. Please contact me if you need express service and I will arrange something to fit your timeline if possible.
