Unique items made from Books and Records
Handmade objects always have a story. They have a real character and charm over mass-produced items. I've been crafting for years and love every minute of it - it's my relaxation time - just put on a few tunes and away I go! Some of the crafting I've done in the past involves sewing, ceramics, crocheting, knitting, plastic canvas.....and now I love to make unique items out of books and records. I opened up my shop here on Etsy in 2007 and have sold my items to customers all over the world - which is exciting. My most exciting buyer was a movie star!!!!! My shop name tells you I'm a Grandma that loves retro. I love all my family! They mean the world to me :-) I have 3 wonderful children and 8 adorable grandchildren.

Handmade items have a real character and charm over mass-produced items. I love to recycle books and records into purses, e-reader cases, clocks, containers, earring holders, hollow book safes, invisible bookshelves, & record bookends. They are all unique - no one will have another like it! My crafting is my "relaxation therapy". I'm a perfectionist and take pride in my work. Custom orders are welcome!

Shipping
Within Canada parcels are sent by regular postal mail and includes a tracking #.
To all other countries all shipping costs are surface mail which takes approximately 4-8 weeks for delivery. If you require air mail please contact me - air mail takes approximately 7-12 business days for delivery - but the shipping costs will be higher. PLEASE REMEMBER ALL TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE. Surface mail to Australia seems to take at times up to 10 weeks for delivery - it may be due to parcels being held at customs longer.
I am from Saskatchewan and within Canada shipping costs varies from province to province and therefore my shipping costs within Canada have been averaged out as best as I could. Within Canada we do not have a small parcel rate as I do with international parcels - so if you notice some of my smaller items may cost more to ship within Canada than it does to ship to the USA or other countries - this is due to Canada Post's shipping rates.
Please be aware that the above is all estimated delivery times. At times delivery is quicker and at times it could be slow. During the Christmas holiday rush items could definitely take longer. I have no control over the efficiency of the postal services.
