Sweet & Simple PDF Patterns

The Retro Mama Story

As a little girl, I loved to watch my mom sew, making clothes and elaborate Halloween costumes—and it seemed both magical and impossible as she transformed a stack of fresh cut fabric into beautiful creations. When, years later, I sat down to stitch up my first store-bought sewing pattern, it seemed even more magical and impossible—who could understand those instructions?!

After my second son was born, I found myself with extra creative energy, so I stayed up late at night teaching myself to sew on a little Brother sewing machine purchased with Betty Crocker points. I made aprons as Christmas presents, and officially became addicted to sewing. I began drafting my own patterns, creating aprons, bags, pincushions, and soft toys.

I began selling my projects online, and when I realized that I had more ideas than time to produce batches and batches of toys in my little sewing room, I started working up my patterns into PDF tutorials to share with other folks who love to sew.

Inside my patterns you’ll find all the information you need to make adorable toys, accessories, and pincushions: high quality photos, a glossary of terms and techniques, a clean, professional layout, and complete step-by-step instructions.
