The Revision Division folks create up-cycled pieces that are gorgeous, practical, and affordable. We can't wait to hang our pitchfork hat/scarf rack next to the stunning wormwood coat rack/bench that we purchased last year. And ordering and pick-up have been super convenient. Keep up the great work!!!!!!
Did you know that reusing the lumber from one 1,200 square foot house prevents 33 trees from being logged, transported, and processed?
Revision Division was born from the desire to give a second life to the many used materials available within The RE Store’s salvaged and vintage building materials warehouse in Bellingham, WA. We respect what salvaged materials represent - a recognition of value in used material, reduce landfill waste and the implementation of sustainable values. Since the birth of Revision Division in 2011, designer/builder team Matt Vaughn and David Spangler have conceptualized and built hundreds of individually designed pieces of functional furnishings out of re-purposed materials. A program of the RE Store in Bellingham, WA, Matt and David let the history of reclaimed barn wood, filigreed Victorian trim and abandoned metal ends speak to them. Through their skillful hands, these pieces become the star in their own story.
Matt considers himself a furniture geek. His home is filled with mid-century modern furniture and he is a fan and student of industrial design from the last century. His favorite medium to work in is metal, but his wood carvings are second to none.
David's build philosophy is simple - plan for longevity. He puts his philosophy to work by using simple woodworking techniques, easy to find materials, and easily repairable designs to keep things in cycle longer.
Samantha is the creative mind behind the camera lens. She helps with transactions and shipping and assists Matt and David with all things marketing.
We appreciate your consideration when shopping for hand-made furniture from sustainable materials. At Revision Division we are passionate about creating pieces using salvaged goods. Our parent store, the RE Store in Bellingham, WA, provides us with all the used building materials we could ever want through their salvage services and donation programs. Giving Puget Sound residents a green demolition option is important for our community, and finding new lives for these pieces is our passion. We hope you have as much fun exploring our salvage inspired designs as we have had making them.
Revision Division is a program of The RE Store in Bellingham, a non-profit building salvage company.
