About

Our shared vision is to supply you with items that make you feel uniquely. . . you.

Revolution. Some hear this word, and it brings to mind destructive images--mobs of angry faces, effigies strung up, fires burning in the streets, rocks smashing windows.

But revolutions are about more than simply tearing down the old; they're about building something new, striking out in a new direction, empowering the disempowered. They’re about leaving a safe and secure job with a pension and benefits in order to tackle something completely different--becoming self-employed and self-governed while building a new and independently-driven vision with like-minded individuals.

In 2013, Blazer Arts experienced its own revolution. The business first came to life in 2006. After three years of success on the art show circuit followed by three more on Etsy with the development of four separate shops: Blazer Arts, Blazer Studios, Happily Ever After, and Sprouts by Blazer Arts; a fifth shop was added to the Blazer Arts family: The Revolution.

Along with this new shop, there came new faces, new collaborators. In the fall of 2013, my brother-in-law walked away from a 15 year long career, working in a steel mill, to join our ranks. His skills with metalworking quickly translated from large scale steel to our small scale precious metals. He’s a natural. My mother-in-law, a retired kindergarten teacher, also joined us part time as our quality control and “packer and slapper.” (She came up with her own title.)

In the summer of 2014, after ten years of teaching college composition courses, I officially joined Blazer Arts, though I’ve been along for the ride from the start. While it gave me great pride to help students develop and craft their own voice in academic writing, given the ongoing growth and stability of our business, I could no longer stand on the sidelines. Now Blazer Arts is truly a family business. We have since added a sixth shop to the Blazer Arts Family: In My Life by Blazer Arts. It opened on April 28th, 2015--our 14th wedding anniversary.

Our shared vision is to supply you with items that make you feel uniquely. . . you.

Welcome to the Revolution by Blazer Arts. We are a family company with over 15 years of jewelry making experience. I am the founder of Blazer Arts, Deb Blazer. I have been working professionally as a jeweler since 1998.

This is my fifth Etsy shop and each storefront offers something unique from Blazer Arts. Happily Ever After is our wedding line. It can be found at www.debblazer.etsy.com and features many vintage inspired and classic designs. Blazer Arts (www.blazerarts.etsy.com) is my Art Nouveau/ Art Deco work. Here you will find flowing lines and organic forms inspired from nature's beauty. Blazer Studios (www.blazerstudios.etsy.com) features my metal sculpture and home decor. And Sprouts by BlazerArts (www.sproutsbyblazerarts.etsy.com) is my showcase for personalized hand stamped jewelry with the quality you expect from Blazer Arts. Last but not least, we just opened a brand new shop on our 14th wedding anniversary: In My Life by Blazer Arts (www.inmylifebyblazerarts.etsy.com). Here we invite you to begin your journey with us by purchasing a custom made engagement ring for the one you've chosen to spend your life with.

My jewelry is stamped with my maker's mark (BA) and a quality stamp (14K, .925) whenever possible.

***Please Note***
The majority of our items are made to order. If you should need your item by a specific date, please let us know in the note to seller box provided during checkout.

***Frequently Asked Questions***

--Do you use recycled materials and non-conflict stones?
Of course! We use recycled materials whenever possible. We even recycle our own gold. This is a time consuming process, but worth it! All of our materials are conflict free and purchased from a reputable source that is SCS Certified.

--How long until I receive my order?
We try to ship our items as quickly as possible; however, each and every ring is custom made to size. Our turnaround time ranges from two to five weeks depending upon the design you order. If you need your item by a certain date, please just let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request.

--Do you resize?
Yes. We understand how difficult it is to determine the fit of a band over the internet. Rings often fit differently depending on their dimensions. For example, a wide band may require up to a size larger than a thinner band in order to fit comfortably, and comfort fit bands can fit more loosely due to their beveled interiors. Because of these variables, we offer one free resize and only ask that you cover the shipping fees. Our clients may take advantage of this complimentary resizing anytime within one year of receiving their ring as we understand that some may purchase their band well in advance of wearing it daily. Any additional sizing will be $20 USD plus the cost of shipping.

--Do you hallmark your rings with a quality mark and maker's mark?
Yes, we do when it won't damage the integrity of the ring. According to Federal Law, if you quality mark any piece of jewelry you must also add your maker's mark. But there is no requirement to add any mark at all. We do quality mark (.925, 14K, 18K, etc.) and add our maker's mark (BA) on most of our items. However some pieces are either too thin or are too intricately detailed on the outside to mark without harming the piece.

--Will there be a solder joint on my ring?
Yes. All of our rings are custom made to size. We do our best to disguise the joint and even go so far as to go back in with our saws and burs to re-cut any design. Please remember that this does not jeopardize the integrity of the ring. If you were to take your ring to a jewelry store to be sized, they would create solder joints in order to size it.

--Will my sterling silver ring tarnish?
It may. It all depends on how often you wear your ring. Silver tends to tarnish when sitting in the air for a prolonged time. Tarnish is actually oxidation, a reaction on the surface of the silver with the air around it. If you keep your silver pieces in a sealed plastic bag or wear them regularly (so the contact with your skin "polishes" off any oxidation) they should not tarnish as readily. If your silver does tarnish, you can pick up a bottle of Tarn-X at a local grocery store and that will do the trick.

We also use a new exclusive product, Sterlium Plus™, for many of our rings. It has become the standard for tarnish resistant Silver. It out performs all other formulated anti-tarnish silver alloys such as Argentium Silver. Sterlium Plus™ is a sterling silver alloy that is tarnish resistance and maintains a bright white color. This product is made in the USA and we have been very pleased with it's performance.

--If I order an oxidized ring, will the black wear off?
Yes. It is a surface treatment and will wear, but it only adds to the character of your custom piece. We treat all of our flat black pieces with museum micro wax to help maintain the black finish. But any oxidized and brushed pieces are left natural.

You may return your item for a full refund (minus shipping costs) prior to 30 days after receipt of item...all of our creations are 100% satisfaction guaranteed! We do not give refunds after 30 days. Additional policies and FAQs
We completely understand that sometimes a ring doesn't fit the way you expect it to. This is often due to the thickness or width of the particular ring. Re-sizing is sometimes necessary. We are more than happy to oblige and only ask that you cover the shipping costs. If additional re-sizes are needed, a $20 fee for each additional re-size will be assessed.

If you are unhappy or have any problems with your jewelry, please don't hesitate to contact us. It is because of all of you that we get to do what we love for a living. We're so very grateful and want to do all we can to make you happy.

Wholesale and custom orders are more than welcome--just ask. If you see something you like, but would like it more if it was just a little different--just ask. One of our biggest joys is working with the inspirations of our clients.
