Hi all!

I'm Christine, the owner of Rhinestic's Knick Knacks, and also the resident designer, artist and maker for the shop under the label Christine R. Bay.

I'll let in a little secret, shhhh~~ I am some sort of a cross between an Arts freak and a Science nerd. I have always loved drawing since a toddler and my craze for the heavens began when my dad got me my very first astronomy book.

However, being born in a very pragmatic family, I was encouraged to pursue something more 'concrete' and 'down-to-earth', and I ended up being a software engineer and web developer for almost a decade...

Alas, the very existence of the 'arty' me forbade the total annihilation of creating art during my days as a code writer. I started my 'Rhinestic's Knick Knacks' blog, hoping to document my other life as a maker.

In my web developing days at a creative digital agency, I was constantly surrounded by my funky and artistic designer-colleagues (who would become my good friends). And through them, I got the chance to hone my eye for design. It's also one of my colleagues who would encourage me to pursue my interest and with the support of my other half, this shop was born.

Like so many other fellow makers here on Etsy, I don't stop at one particular kind of craft. Thus, you'll find an assortment of products here in my shop! But I must say, my love for nature, geometry, Scandinavia and Japan will be a common theme here. Have fun exploring!
