I grew up on a ranch and have always been around horses (Appaloosas, Quarter horses, Tennessee Walking Horses, Miniature Horses and Morgans), dogs (Shelties, Corgis, Setters, Terriers) and cattle (with a few sheep and pigs thrown in).

Breyers were there when I couldn't ride and I learned to become an artist from my mother and grandfather who did oil paintings (my grandfather was a devote Bob Ross fan) and from fellow model horse friends and hobby folks that taught me along the way.

I love fantasy horses and animals - especially creatures from Harry Potter or the Dragonriders of Pern. They inspire the imagination.

I quit art in school because all I wanted to do was horses and the teachers didn't like that. I didn't pick up a brush to do flatwork again until 2012.

My sculptures are "Chibi" style using Sculpey, Apoxie Sculpt or Magic Sculpt. I also do Colorado Tree People - tree characters - made from local pine cones.
