Ordered as an accessory for the Rufford christening gown, it was just lovely!

I ordered this gown for my daughter's christening last month, and I was thrilled with it. Julia was a pleasure to work with an answered my questions in a timely manner, including specifics about size since I was unsure which to order. It ended up being a perfect fit. The dress was impeccably made - I can't say enough about the quality of the workmanship or the materials, it was outstanding and very refined. The dresses I'd seen in department stores and online were not only more expensive, but not as well made. It also shipped in a timely manner from the UK to Texas. I would highly recommend her, and hope I'll have an occasion to order another dress in the future!

Gorgeous baby bonnet! Looks beautiful on, and so wonderfully crafted! Everything down to the packaging was carefully put together clearly with lots of love! Julia was extremely helpful with creating and shipping and the bonnet went down a treat. Thanks again!

About

pure and simple and made in England

A seamstress from an early age, learning skills from my mother, I always had a yearning to create. Training as a Fine Artist, then working for Laura Ashley and Phaidon Press, I developed an acute awareness of good design.

Marrying my husband and then moving to the country our priorities changed. Living sustainably, growing our own fruit and vegetables, making do and mending became our way life. Having our two children reinforced these values and gave us a completely new perspective on life!

As my children grew up I became more and more disillusioned with the poor quality, but vast quantity of clothing available on the highstreet. Girl's clothing, in particular was a disappointment. There was clearly a need for 'proper' little girl dresses and boys outfits too - well made with care.

Righthand became my ambition.

Creating beautiful things from the finest materials is now my passion, working on details until they are perfect, imagining the possibilities of a newly found fabric, waking up in the middle of the night with an idea.
