Rijacki Design, the eclectic endeavors of a mixed media artist

In mid 2012, Kate (Rijacki) decided to make a couple of jewelry items for herself. She liked the feel of the beads and the creativity they were unlocking. Even though she was shortly going to be moving to Canada, from California, the passion was born and the beads started to 'magically' appear around her. Later, she expanded into mixed media when the alchemical arts of resin casting and epoxy clay sang their siren song.

By day, Kate does software/firmware testing on computer-like products, dreaming of days in her future when she will be free to do nothing but work on her jewelry designs. Her formal education is in history and literature with computers and jewelry crafting almost entirely self-taught. Kate is also a long time fan of science fiction, super heroes, comics, fantasy, science, and many things geeky.
