Hello. I make original paintings, drawings, linocut prints, zines, and other colorful one-of-a-kind artworks!
🌻 This email is the most direct method of contact: rina [!at] rinamiriam.com 🌻
Use this email if you need to get in touch with Chris: studioharpy [!at] outlook.com
My studio is currently closed to the public and I’ve primarily been working on sewing handmade cloth masks for family, friends & essential workers. I have some art items still available (locally in Rochester, NY) but some elements of my business are on hold indefinitely. Please email me to confirm that the service you’re interested in is currently available if you have any concerns. If you are a buyer in Rochester please contact me ahead of your purchase to discuss when you can expect to receive an original, as I have two different business locations and am currently self-quarantining. I can arrange an art drop off for you. (Installation services are not available at this time. I can meet with you on Zoom to answer questions though.)

"A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art." - Paul Cezanne
"When I think of art I think of beauty. Beauty is the mystery of life. It is not in the eye it is in the mind. In our minds there is awareness of perfection." - Agnes Martin
"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." - Aristotle
"In art, the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can imagine." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I find these statements important, and wanted to share them, because they touch on the idea of painting as a means of expressing emotions and thoughts that otherwise stay silent, and that spend the entirety of their existence beyond language. This is something that continues to fascinate me, and propel me forward with my work.

1 out of 5 starsDo not buy from this shop. WORST customer service experience I've ever had on Etsy. She didn't ship my item for almost an entire month and I had to contact paypal to get a refund. I had to contact her on Instagram after not getting through on Etsy the first time (about 2 weeks in) and she finally responded saying some personal stuff happened and she'd ship it that week and she STILL did not ship it. I had to contact her again outside of Etsy because she would not respond on this platform. If you state "1 to 3 business days" in your policies, then try and stick to it. I understand you had an emergency but you could've contacted me to say the shipping would be delayed, but instead I had to contact multiple times and start a dispute with my bank. Also the print quality is meh.

I make paintings on my days off from selling paintings.
I find that I am best able to communicate through the creation of paintings and drawings. This type of communication has always been second nature.
I like to work in a variety of media because I enjoy the different processes. Each process has it's own unexpected rewards.
I hope you will find something here that can work within your collection.
