Shipping was very quick and it's an excellent card holder that I've used lots already! It's great.

About

Jewelry & Recycled Pop Culture Accessories Handmade in RVA

I have always loved to craft and long dreamed of starting my own handmade business. One lovely spring day I was outside on my porch listening to my favorite band and ripping up old paper to make handmade recycled paper. The song "Ripping It Down" by The Rushes came on my iPod, and it seemed like the most perfect name since so much of my crafting involves taking old objects and ripping them down, up, and sideways, to repurpose and recycle the materials. RippingItDown was born!

Recently, I have found my niche in geeky recycled pop culture accessories and quirky jewelry. Now I can share my obsessions with the world, and so can you! Outside of etsy, my work can be found at craft shows, music festivals, a tattoo parlor, and sci fi, comic book, and horror festivals. I LOVE this job!

I have been an avid crafter as long as I can remember. I am a dabbler, a jack of all trades, but recently I have focused on quirky jewelry and recycled pop culture accessories.

Shipping
Due to US postage increases, I have removed international postage rates from all items that must be shipped as a package. If you would like to place an international order, please email me for a listing with the correct postage for your country.

In order to comply with Paypal's seller protection policies, I will ship to the address provided with your paypal payment.

I try to use recycled packaging as much as possible, so your items may come carefully wrapped in a reused padded envelope or box unless you make a specific request. Prices listed are for USPS First Class mail services. I am happy to provide additional postage upgrades, insurance, delivery confirmation, etc. Please send me a message before purchasing to confirm the added costs and availability of such extras. Buyers are responsible for paying international customs.

I ship as quickly as possible, but if you need something in a rush, just let me know and I will do my best. I do not mark items shipped until I have put them in the mail slot, so if your purchase shows as shipped then it is in the postal service's hands!

Whenever possible, I've tried to include discount shipping rates for multiple purchases, but if actual shipping and handling costs come to more than $2 less than you paid, I will refund the difference by paypal.
Refunds and Exchanges
Specifics on refunds and exchanges vary by item, so please send me a message if you would like to make an enquiry. Generally, items are only refundable if the item received is damaged or incorrect. Whatever the issue though, I hope we can work something out!
Additional policies and FAQs
Because many of my items contain recycled or vintage parts, I cannot guarantee all the materials used. When I know specifics, they are included in the item description, otherwise I honestly don't know what specific material types my items are made of. Thanks to the CPSIA, I have to state that NONE of my items are intended for use by children.

All of my pop culture items are made by recycling previously existing items. I do not reproduce images and no copyright infringement is intended. As such, all of my items are one-of-a-kind, although occasionally I do have a second copy of a magazine or more photos from a photo shoot/feature and am happy to try to accomodate custom orders! If we come up with an agreed upon custom design, I will created a custom "reserved for *your username*" listing, just for you!

If you have an questions or concerns about anything, or you'd like to discuss a custom request, please do contact me. Thanks!
