If you don't see exactly what you're looking for here, ask me! I create colorful calligraphic artwork, both Hebrew and English, for all occasions.
Most of my work is by commission. I start by interviewing my clients to find out not only their specs, but who they are and what they like. Then I sit down to sketch. Gradually I figure out how to express my clients' uniqueness through image and color.

Whether the text consists of marriage vows, poetry or scripture, I use vibrant color and design in my work to illuminate its inherent beauty. My printed and individually-commissioned works of art serve to honor life’s memorable occasions for both individuals and organizations. They are often, but not always, given as gifts.
My work tends to be colorful, contemporary and whimsical.
I have done well over 200 custom ketubot. They express the stories and values shared by each bride and groom, and reflect their preferences for particular words and images. Ultimately, text and painting coexist lovingly, serving each other well-like two partners in marriage.
I also offer pre-designed, printed ketubot at affordable prices. These are giclee prints (high-resolution, archival inkjet prints) of original watercolors, and the lettering on the original was done by hand (not typeset). When I fill in your name, date, place etc. I will also letter these by hand. This gives the ketubah a completely handcrafted look, unlike any printed ketubah I've ever seen, and I hope and believe this difference in quality and value will be apparent.
If you’d like to know more about the process of commissioning a ketubah for a wedding or an anniversary, feel free to contact me via email (contact@risaaqua.com) or send me a conversation.
Thank you!

Shipping
Generally non-custom orders can ship in 3-7 days.
Customized prints generally ship in 7-10 days, as I have to get them printed (I don't print them myself).
Ketubah timing depends on when I get all your details for filling it in, and how quickly I can get approval from you and/or your rabbi or officiant.
For ketubahs and other custom orders, we can discuss a timeline (including a sketch) for the piece.
