We are now retired and selling our remaining inventory from our new location in Pensacola, Florida. Our glaze colours are our own recipes and were inspired by the landscape of southern New Mexico's high desert.

I am very pleased with this utensil jar. I have it on my kitchen counter next to my stove. The glaze color is beautiful and the size and design is just perfect!

Wheel Thrown Pottery

Started making pottery in 1970 in New York. Opened a studio and gallery in Larchmont, New York in 1974 under the name of Rising Pottery. Moved studio to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1986 under the name of Rising Sky Artworks. Currently dba online as Rising Sky Pottery. Producing wheel thrown and hand built cone 10 stoneware functional pottery utilizing gas and electric kilns. Our glazes are our own recipes developed over a 40 year span.
UPDATE: Rising Sky Pottery is currently no longer making pottery -- retirement started in January 2014
