Announcement    Welcome to my new ETSY shop.
I make wheel thrown pottery and hand paint various designs on it using underglaze colours and metal oxides. Occasionally I make hand built pieces or slab work, and I love making and decorating tiles. I also use overglaze paints.
My workshop is located in a neighborhood inhabited by immigrant Jews from Ethiopia. I, together with an artist friend (see vardashilo.etsy.com), rent the space, which normally serves as a public shelter, from the town council. I love to give presents to friends and family. All my work, until now, was given as presents on different occasions. Setting up a shop is a new and exciting experience for me, and I hope to enlarge my friends' circle through this activity.

Other things I like to do include knitting and embroidering. I am married and a proud mother of three. When I'm not doing pottery I do psychiatric oriented brain research.

I make wheel thrown or handbuilt clay pieces like bowls, platters, vases. They are usually intricately decorated with underglaze and/or overglaze hand painting. I believe my work is both decorative and utilitarian.
