As the owner of Rivelin Arts, I am committed to protecting your privacy and I take the management of any personal identifiable information very seriously.

This Privacy Policy describes, how, when and why I collect, use and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practises of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third services that you access through Etsy (e.g. Paypal). Please, consult the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.


Information I collect

By purchasing an item from me you authorise Etsy to share with me certain information such as your name, Etsy username, email address, delivery address/recipient’s address, details of items you are ordering and how you paid (however not your credit card details). You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information for example for a custom order when contacting me directly.


How I use this information

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

1. to provide my services and fulfil your order i.e. to ensure the smooth processing and delivery of your order, to contact you, if there is a question or problem with your order, provide customer support, or settle disputes,

2. for legal purposes, if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases as required by tax law; and

3. to improve my services by using Etsy’s anonymised customer analysis, profiling and marketing services and in compliance with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

By using my services, you are consenting to this Privacy Policy and to have your personal data you provide processed in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

Your data privacy is important to my business. I share your personal information only for very limited reasons and in very limited circumstances, as follows with:

4. Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Privacy Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

5. Service providers i.e. delivery companies. I engage third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop; I share your personal information only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and fulfill your order.

6. Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and if necessary share your information if I have good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: a) to respond to legal process or government requests; b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security or technical issues; or d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described here in my Privacy Policy.

However, I am required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time periods: 7 years as required for record retention for tax purposes.

Your Rights

Access.

You have the right to receive the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below

Change, restrict, delete.

You can change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. I will generally delete your information upon request, absent exceptional circumstances such as when I am required to store data for legal reasons.

Object.

You can object to i) my processing some of your information based on my legitimate interests and ii) receiving marketing messages from me after giving your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to retain that information for legal reasons.

Complain.

If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
