Announcement   I design and build custom handcrafted furniture and accessories for your home. I also design and create plans for DIY farm and garden projects. My philosophy is based on old-world craftsmanship, furniture should be well-constructed, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. I only use non-toxic, water-based and wax finishes and only work with local and sustainable solid wood or reclaimed lumber.

All items are built one piece at a time and I try to use only hand tools whenever possible. My furniture pieces are not mass produced therefore I don't usually stock large quantities of any items. Whenever a new piece is designed and finished it will be added to my store.

I had been sketching plans for my raised vegetable gardens for weeks and trying to figure out how to build them. These plans were exactly what I was looking for so was able to scrap my sketches and go with these instead. The plans are exceptionally detailed and explained and even include templates for cutting the angles on each board. I am building a slightly modified version with wire hardware cloth instead of plastic to keep my dogs out of my garden. In winter, however, I can still cover the frame with plastic to convert them into a green house.

This is the perfect kistka holder. It is obviously designed by someone who knows a pysanky artist's needs. I purchased the one that holds 5 kistkas. The cords don't get tangled and kistkas fit perfectly in place. The clamps holding the cords are a bit tight, but you can bend them open to your liking. The drip tray is very handy and easily cleaned if needed Very, very happy with this purchase!!

About

The workshop of RJ Terry - RJT Designs

For as long as I can remember I always had an interest in designing and building things which led to my decision to go to college and major in mechanical engineering. Not long after college, and working as an engineer, I realized this wasn't for me. I had a much larger passion for architectural design, always designing and building furniture on the side. I quit my job and started working as a designer for a custom woodworking shop.

I was always creative and knew that I wanted to work for myself someday. I needed to carve out my own path in life instead of following others, so in 2001, I decided to start my own architectural design business - RJT Designs.

I work with local cabinet shops, interior designers and stair builders, designing and creating shop drawings for high end custom millwork and designing complex elliptical and radial stairs for very high end homes.

I also design and build my own custom furniture and products. My products are both functional and aesthetically pleasing and are usually born out of necessity. I enjoy working with hand tools and create my pieces one at a time in my workshop. I am not into mass-produced, disposable items and believe in creating only heirloom quality products that are built to last.
