Appreciating "vintage living" through vintage wares

Much of our collection has been inherited in one way or another. We've helped clean out the homes of several grandparents and great aunts and uncles, and we currently find ourselves living in a family home of over 50 years (and with a time capsule of a basement). We've been lucky to discover vintage tools, supplies, jewelry, and more in the process. We firmly believe that these items are valuable not because of mere provenance, but because they were built to endure and delight for a long time. These were objects made at a time before the phrase "planned obsolescence" ever left the mouth of a manufacturing bigwig, when the only prudent attributes you'd want attached to your brand were durability, utility, and beauty. Testament to this idea, many of our items are unique and delightful in how proudly their manufacturer names were displayed on the packaging (some even including patent numbers and more). Pride in one's creation is a feeling we hope the new owners get from the items we sell as well.
