I purchased these beautifully made chopsticks as a gift to my husband. I first noticed how unique they were and they I noticed they are handcrafted only 45 minutes away from my hometown! Looking forward to giving these to my hubby, I know he will really appreciate the curly maple. Thank You for the quick shipping as well!

Maker of things.......

Roaring Dog Studios represents the evolution of a 26 year woodworking career. My name is Chris Clemans and I started my trek down this windy road in the furniture design program at the School for American Crafts in Rochester NY. For many years now I have been creating custom millwork and casework for discerning clientele throughout the northeast with a focus on the NYC market. We continue to operate our custom millwork shop called CabFab and you can check it out at if interested.

That said…this shop is much more about creativity run amok! Roaring Dog Studio evolved out of countless lunch table mental wanderings…mostly involving pens, pencils, napkins and scraps of paper as I scratched out the latest inspiration. I work out of Lancaster County, PA and proud to be carrying on the great craft tradition of this historic area.

It is hard to pinpoint what we build. I hope this shop will be a constantly changing montage of my latest and greatest work. I have historically worked mostly in wood but have recently built a fully functional blacksmith shop on premises so my iron collection is growing! I focus on creating fully functional pieces that are as useful as they are beautiful. Take a look and let us know what you think.
