Born to create

I started making jewelry in 2003 after watching and talking to friends who made a living doing just that. I didn't realize how much I would love creating and making handmade jewelry. I had always loved jewelry and had been buying it mostly from other handmade jewelry artists. I always loved handmade for the one of quality that personifies it. I always say that I am searching for imperfect perfection. What I mean by that is I want things that don't look factory made. I want those slight imperfections that come with handmade.

I love bold statement jewelry that announces you when you enter the room. I want people to ask you where you got that one of a kind piece so you can tell them that your personal jewelry designer made it for you. I know that when I am wearing a gorgeous piece of jewelry, it makes me feel on top of the world.
I also love long linear earrings because I think they make you look taller and thinner just like high heels but much less painful. I feel the same way about long necklaces.

I search high and low to find the most beautiful and high quality gemstones and components to put in my jewelry. I also look for stones that you may have never heard of. There are a wealth of incredible gemstones out there but most jewelry designers work with just a few of them. I love to use stones that others may have overlooked. I also make a lot of my own sterling and fine silver components to add just that one of a kind item.

So, I was making my jewelry for friends and family when other people started asking where they could buy it. Up til then it had really been just a hobby. I started doing jewelry parties and selling at shows. Always, people were asking me if I had a website. I first went on etsy in 2008 as a buyer but by 2012 I decided to go for it and become a seller. I think etsy is a beautiful website with so many talented artisans. It's an honor just to be in their company.

Hi. Welcome to RocknitJewelry. I make one of a kind gemstone jewelry. My friend calls me the bead whisperer because I wait for the beads to tell me how to put them together in a piece. I try to use unusual stones that you won't see elsewhere. Hope you enjoy the jewelry as much as I enjoy creating it.

Refunds and Exchanges
I try very hard to give exact details so you know what to expect in a piece. I will send more pix and descriptions if you need it. I stand behind everything I make so if anything should break due to normal wear, I will repair it at no cost. If it breaks for some other reason( a client's child threw the necklace across the room) I will repair it at a small cost. Some items may be made bigger or smaller. Convo me with the information if this is something you need done. I want you to be happy with your purchase. I will do whatever you need to make you happy.

All items are shipped insured so please let me know if something arrives damaged so I can contact the post office and take care of it as quickly as possible.
