5 out of 5 starsReally good quality, customer service and delivery. Great finish for my lamp - looks brilliant with both bulb on and off and gives off a good amount of light. Would definitely repurchase from this shop, great products.

Indigo dyed blue and white marbled Shibori lampshade
Lampshades to dye for!
I work in Hackney in East London in a warren of studios underneath a railway arch. My studio is stacked with textiles and buckets of indigo and natural dyes are often sitting on my table, waiting for my Shibori designs to take on new colour. I combine traditional Japanese Shibori and other resist dyeing techniques with indigo, natural and modern dyes to create a range of one-off lampshades, homewares and scarves.
Shibori is a slow craft, often with many hours of stitching, binding, clamping and pole-dyeing followed by more hours at the indigo vat or mordanting, dyeing and over-dyeing fabric to be transformed into lampshades, throws, cushions, table runners, napkins, scarves and other textiles.
I hope my creations demonstrate my love of fabric and the time I have spent to produce something original and lovingly handmade, with care and thought put into it. For me the brand represents slow crafting, tradition and modernity combined and a desire to bring something beautiful and different into the world.
My prices reflect the slow craft, hand-made nature of my work: as a customer, you can rest assured that you have purchased something absolutely unique reflecting your own personality and style.
