Announcement   This Summer has been an exciting time of Craft Shows and creating tons of custom orders for fabulous clients! I'm also about to apply to my first tradeshow for wholesale, so wish me luck! I'm looking to have my 2015 Catalog out by the beginning of August and will be adding new listings here pretty constantly from July-November. Look out Fall and early Christmas sales!
Here is a little bit about how things run here in the studio and in the RoryRoo22 Etsy shop:

The listings in the Custom Order section are basically like a gallery or portfolio of pieces that I've made for clients in the past. The listing price will be $100.00 because Etsy makes me put a price in order to create a listing- PLEASE do not actually purchase something in the Custom section for that price- please click the "Request Custom Order" button and we will start a great conversation about creating your perfect piece. Please read the "Policies" section of the shop's about page to learn more about the custom order process, deposits, etc.

The Jewelry section has many listings of my main line of jewelry, which are also available wholesale to-the-trade. There are also items here that are special "One of a Kind" pieces that I was particularly inspired to make. These are great for quick gifts since they are already made and will ship faster.

Thank you so much for your interest in my shop and style: your purchase allows this single mom to be home with her daughter. I am a real person doing my best to make a living as an artist and jeweler.

Follow this store for sale announcements, random gifts, and other cool, fun, happy things. My daughter (for whom the Shop is named) and I love to build etsy treasuries together, so we often go to our shop followers first for treasury inspiration...

I also do In-Home Jewelry Sale Parties (complete with hostess gifts) as well as Make-Your-Own Jewelry Parties and Fundraisers in the Philadelphia-South Jersey area. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, add me to your favorites, follow me on FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram all under RoryRoo22 as well as RoryRoo22.com for my blog on life here in the studio.
Peace and Love!

It has been a wonderful experience buying from this shop. The artist was very helpful and speedy of her making and getting the ring to me. She was super accommodating and definitely knows how to make her customers happy. The ring is amazing. Thanks so much(:

This was my first time ever buying anything off this site. When I first contacted the artist I informed her of this and she was more than helpful. She answered all my questions and was very very patient with me. She made the entire experience a pleasure! Before I even paid she bough everything and started right away, keeping me informed throughout the process. Within a week and a half the ring was done and on my hand! I love it so much and I have gotten several compliments on it. I HIGHLY recommend this seller!

About

if you are given a dream too big to do alone- you know it is from God

Owning a Gallery/Boutique has been my dream since before attending Art School. I am grateful to Etsy for allowing me to basically attain that dream while I work towards opening a brick-and-mortar version of RoryRoo22.

I graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Crafts in 2002.
Since then I've made certain that every job I've held for the last 10 years has taught me some aspect of the jewelry and fashion industry: managing a couple of retail stores, working for a wholesale designer/distributor, and working in the repair department of one of America's largest jewelry stores. During that time, I never stopped designing and creating my own jewelry and fashions. I have also taken a business class, attaining a certification in Entrepreneurial Development (I continue to be mentored in business practices by LAEDA, which helps to educate Women and Minority business owners in Camden County, NJ).

When I suddenly found myself as a single mother back in 2007, I had no idea how I was going to make life work. But today I am working full-time here at my own business!
When I filed my business officially back in 2010, I decided to name the studio after my daughter, Rory because I wanted to remember at all times what is really most important and why I work so hard. Most of our friends and family use her nickname "The Roo" and the 22 (said two-two, not twenty-two) is for her birthday.

Every single item in my shop is designed and handmade by me. Sometimes I have an Intern or a per-day part-time assistant come in to help with organization, cleaning, social media, polishing and cleaning items (and my 7 year old daughter has declared herself the Vice President of Dusting). My sometimes assistant is wonderful and needs a real job, so hopefully my shop will grow and expand enough for me to hire her on a consistent basis. I also work very hard at using as many American suppliers for my materials as possible, many of my favorite suppliers are small business owners here on Etsy. Thank you so much for your interest in my style and story.

Thank you for your interest in my work. I sincerely appreciate that you're considering making a purchase and plan to do everything I can to make it a pleasant experience for you. Please contact me with any questions about custom orders or sizes.

Payment
Currently I am accepting paypal, credit cards, etsy gift cards, check or money order. Checks will be the slowest way for you to receive your purchase as I would have to wait for it to clear, but I don't mind if you don't.

Custom Order payment process: I love to work on custom orders. When you message me about a custom order, I will start off by asking you some questions to get us started on the look of you piece. We may also need to share photos, sketches, dimensions, etc to make sure we are at a good understanding. Once we agree on the price, you are welcome to pay the cost in-full up-front OR you can pay a 1/3 deposit of the total cost and pay the balance at completion before shipping.
I will place a "Reserved for ____" listing in my Custom Order shop section for you to purchase to get the work started. Then, when finished, I will change that listing to a photo of the finished item and change the price to the remaining 2/3 balance. Once the balance is paid I will ship your custom piece!
Shipping
I ship by USPS with tracking (I send you the tracking # when I ship). Jewelry is shipped in a box with bubble wrap and pretty tissue paper, earrings are on my shop logo hang-cards. Handbags ship in a box with paper padding, wallets and clothing ship in a padded envelope. Paintings and Sculptures tend to require a little more finesse- each one tends to need to be packed a bit differently and have different shipping costs. Insurance added to purchases totalling $100.00 or more.
Refunds and Exchanges
My fondest wish is that you are happy with your purchase. Please contact me if you are not happy for any reason and we will convo about the resolution. I make a wide range of items in varying materials, so it is difficult to spell-out exact refund policies. I also perform repairs, so if you've had an item for awhile and something happens to it, please contact me for a repair.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are happily accepted! Please allow a week's extra time to fill orders for wearables in custom colors or sizes. I also take orders for my sewn-form portrait busts.
