Announcement   My jewelry is what I call "vintage kissed", where I often blend bits & pieces of vintage rhinestones, crystals, rosaries, baroque pearls, with just the right amount of brass filigree, oxidized bronze & sterling silver wire, crystal quartz, sari silk, and/or one-of-a-kind pieces of vintage jewelry or found objects.
Please visit my blog: www.rosaandjosies.com, as it is there you will see a slide show of past and present pieces, which I have designed. Please convo me if you would like a custom order!
I insure purchases that total over the amount of $250, for that amount. I know you agree that this is a good thing...

My "Vintage Rose Drop Necklace" was featured on the cover of the Spring 2009 issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry Magazine, since then I have been published in many more Stampington publications, namely Belle Armoire Jewelry, Jewelry Affaire, Marie, Somerset Memories, and Artful Blogging.
I teach jewelry classes at many national retreats, such as Art Unraveled in Phoenix, AZ. each July/August, Adorn Me! each February in Houston, TX., as well as each October & April at Art Retreat at The Prairie, in Round Top, TX. I will return to Coronado, CA. to teach at Art Retreat by the Beach in May of 2013, as well as travel to Tucson, AZ. to teach for Art Retreat in the Desert next February, 2014. Please check my blog, http://www.rosa-josies.blogspot.com/, for all the details on my upcoming classes.

About

My feet lead me to where my heart has always been...

I am a mixed-media jewelry artist who loves all things vintage. I have so much to be thankful for, and know that grace has taken me to places I could once only imagine.

I named my business after my two grandmothers, Rosa & Josie! You can find out more about these two strong Texas women here: https://www.facebook.com/rosajosies?ref=tn_tnmn
I have created art since I was 6 years old, but it wasn’t until I attended my first art retreat in Hampton, Virginia, in 2008, did the artistic life I yearned for suddenly begin. That’s when I discovered dreams really do come true…as now, I am living it!
My love for using vintage jewelry, especially vintage rhinestones in my designs, has become an ever constant source of inspiration. When not teaching and designing jewelry, my love for photography and mixed-media art, constantly keep me preoccupied.
I have been published in Belle Armoire Jewelry, Artful Blogging, Somerset Memories, Jewelry Affaire, Marie, and Jewelry the zine. I was honored to be a Guest Curator for Crescendoh.com, sharing my story of how Art Saves, in May, 2010.
Retiring from a financial career at the end of 2010, I am now making art full time, designing jewelry and sharing my love for teaching. I teach locally and nationally, having taught at Adorn Me, Gilding the Lily in Fullerton, California, Art Unraveled in Phoenix, Arizona. I am also a core instructor for Vivi Magoo Presents, teaching in Round Top, Texas, Tucson, Arizona, and Coronado, California.
