About

Inspired by Mary, Sparked by God

I started my shop when I realized how rare and beautiful five decade Rosary bracelets are and wanted other to have them too. The Rosary is our opportunity to meditate, reflect, and spiritually participate in God's grace, as we journey through Sacred Scripture and reflectively delve into the mysteries of God's act of Salvation with Jesus and Mary. My children have a huge role in supporting and advising me in what I create. I design pieces to support families in their Faith and celebration of special occassions such as Baptisms, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Weddings. I am always trying new designs to reflect the unique beauty and variety of designs that appeal to all people and seasons in creation. I named our shop "Handmaid Designs", since our Blessed Mother gave her "Yes" to God throughout her whole life, so we could have Jesus as our Savior, and she showed perfection in love and obedience to God, I hope to model and strive to do the same as a "handmaid of the Lord" did for her God.
Another reason why having a Rosary with me at all times is sooo important....
"Mother Teresa always held a rosary in her hand, even when doing something else. People would ask her why she held a rosary when it was obvious she wasn't praying it. She answered that this was her way of reminding herself that she was holding Our Lady's hand, a hand she had never let go of since her vision in 1947." ~Joseph Langford, MC
