As a career professional, I learned in my 30's to prioritize my well-being the hard way. I was working my second career performing in a hectic corporate position. Since then, I have learned to listen to my body, heart, and mind about wellness, especially mental well-being. Now, I live and work internationally to return for my first career in higher education. Yes, there are still hectic times and even challenging positions, but now I prioritize rest, take my vacation, eat as healthily as I can, get some level of fitness, and protect my inner peace.

The lessons I learned in my 30s have continued for me, and I extend this philosophy to my team and colleagues. I advocate for rest, time-off, time for reflection, planning, and creating time for self. It has led me to blog about my self-care for expats and now create digital products designed to help anyone home or abroad think and plan self-care holistically - across all aspects of their life.
