Welcome to Roxy's!

I'm Ruthanne Terrero, the artist behind Roxy’s Illustrations. All designs you see here are mine. I hand draw all items and prints, no clip art here! For this reason I am able to offer commercial rights to some items upon request.

New York is my home and it inspires me every day to sketch. You may see hints of Manhattan in my work; many of my fashionistas are wearing black, which is a staple in the city!

I have studied life drawing at Oberlin College and the Art Student's League of New York. The designs here are drawn originally with Copic pens on Bristol paper. What's the big deal about Copic markers? Fashion designers love them because of their alcohol-based inks. Water-based markers tend to pill and oversoak the paper, but Copics are crisp and sharp on the page and deliver rich, vibrant blends.

I produce each print individually in my studio on a professional Canon printer to ensure quality. My prints come on crisp white premium matte paper; when they are ready for shipping to you, they're wrapped in a clear envelope, and then lovingly placed in a stiff professional photographer's envelope. I also put a sheet of cardboard in the envelope to ensure it gets to you safely.

Bags, mugs and other items are printed by my partner, Printify, based in San Francisco. It is the largest custom printing company in the country and it stands by its quality and customer service, just like Roxy's Illustrations!

Custom and personalized orders

I hand draw my illustrations so I am not able to change the heights of the girls in each drawing or the outfits. If you are looking for something specific, though, please convo me in case I have something in my files that might work for you.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Prints can be framed in a pretty black or white cardboard frame; that option is available at checkout. The presentation makes for a wonderful gift as it's enclosed in a clear cello sleeve.

Sizing details

Prints come as print only, or with a mat. A mat is a cardboard frame, which makes it ideal for gift giving as it's all sealed in a clear envelope. If you are going to frame the drawing yourself, I recommend ordering just the print as you can purchase many lovely frames with the mat already included.
