I use only high quality sterling sliver (.925), fine silver (.999), and 14k gold-filled findings in my work. My designs include Swarovski crystals, cultured freshwater pearls, gemstones and glass beads. Sea opal glass, also called opalite, is a particular favorite of mine including other colors of opal glass and crystals. I have for you my earrings (necklaces and bracelets coming soon). Please feel free to have a conversation with me about custom work, and other color combinations. I am always happy to answer any questions you might have. Also, most of my styles can be make with 14k gold-filled findings instead of silver. Thank you for looking. . .
I recently remade the earwires on all my earrings into a french hoop style hook. With typical fishhook style earwires, the back part of the wire points out and makes it easy for the hook to work its way out of your ears by poking your neck. With the new french hoop style hook I use the back part of the earring points down instead of out, so it does not get pushed out. In three months of wearing this new style of earwire daily, I have not had my earrings fall out once.

The earwires on all my earrings are a french hoop style hook. With typical fishhook style earwires, the back part of the wire points out and makes it easy for the hook to work its way out of your ears by poking your neck. With the french hoop style hook I use the back part of the earring points down instead of out, so it does not get pushed out. This french hoop style of earwire stays put so well that after three years of wearing it, I no longer have the habit of checking to make sure that my earrings are not falling out.
~QUALITY ASSURANCE~
I make my work to last so you will enjoy years of normal wear from all of your Ellgy Co. purchases. Nothing annoys me more than having a piece of jewelry I purchased break, that is why I make my work to withstand years of everyday wear and tear. I carefully coil wrap the wires and headpins that I use to attach beads and I use sturdy wire for my handmade earring hooks. The coil wrapping is more time consuming than other weaker methods, but it is a part of the quality I believe in putting into every piece of Ellgy Co. work.
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
The item must be returned within seven (7) days of the date you received it. The item must be in it's original condition, original packaging and I will refund the purchase price minus the shipping cost.
The satisfaction of my customers is one of my greatest concerns and I value your positive feedback, if for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase please contact me with your concerns before leaving negative feedback.
Payment
California residents pay 8.25% sales tax.
You do not need a PayPal Account to pay for your items through PayPal:
You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the "Pay Now" button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.
Once your order has been submitted, your payment needs to be made right away, unless you want to upgrade to ball stud / post-style earrings instead of hooks.
How to request ball studs:
1. First add an item(s) from my shop to your cart and start the check out process.
2. Enter your request for ball studs in the 'notes to seller' and the email address where the revised invoice should be sent.
3. Complete the order but do NOT go to Paypal to pay.
4. You will receive a revised invoice, and a link to complete payment, via email reflecting the ball stud upgrade.
Or you may use the request custom item form and I can update the listing for you before you purchase them.
Ball Stud upgrade fee is $4.00 per pair for sterling silver studs, and $5.00 per pair for 14k gold-filled studs. Please specify in the 'notes to seller' if you want sterling silver or 14k gold-filled and what pairs of earrings you want them added to if you are buying more than one pair.
If you have any problems with making your payment, please let me know right away. If payment is not accounted for within 3 days and I do not hear from you, I will contact you. If I do not hear from you by day 5, I will assume you do not want the order and I will cancel the sale, and relist the item.
Shipping
Delivery conformation included on large orders.
All listings are for ready made items which will be sent out in 1-2 business days. For CUSTOM or MADE-TO-ORDER items turnaround time is usually about 2-3 days for earrings and 3-10 days for necklaces but this may vary depending on how many paid orders I already have at that time. Generally, I put orders in a queue only AFTER PAYMENT so whoever paid first will be served first.
I know what it is like to not receive items in a timely manor, or ones that are poorly packaged, so I take care when packaging orders and ship them in a timely fashion. I do believe in reusing padded envelopes and small boxes, except on items being sent as gifts.
Additional policies and FAQs
I'm happy to ship my items as gifts just convo me with the name and address of the recipient and a brief message to include with the item for no additional charge.
~CUSTOM WORK~
I'm happy to do custom work, in fact I have often come up with great ideas from the requests of others and I welcome a new design challenge.
~HOW to CARE for EARRINGS~
Many stones and shells are dyed to enhance their beauty, however these dyes are not always stable when exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods. Storing your jewelry items in a jewelry box and out of direct sunlight will help to preserve the color of dyed beads.
~REPAIR / REPLACEMENT~
Should a piece of Ellgy Co. jewelry get damaged or lost, feel free to contact me with a description of the item. I may be able to salvage the piece, or in the case of a lost earring, make new one. This is subject to the availability of the beads/findings and may require that the pieces and/or earring to be matched be sent to me. Once I know the details of the situation, I can quote you a price for the repair/replacement.
~JEWELRY is NOT INTENDED for CHILDREN UNDER 13~
Aside for the fact that my earrings may pose a choking hazard to small children, many of my designs feature Swarovski crystals. Swarovski crystals do contain lead so I am legally obligated to inform you of the potential hazard based on the assumption that kids will put any and everything into their mouths. According to statements posted online, Swarovski believes that the use of their products poses no significant risk to human health due to the properties of the crystal matrix. Or in more official legal jargon-This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This product should not be used in jewelry or other items intended for children under the age of 12.
