Hi there! I'm Julie. I married my high school sweetheart and yes, he was the Quarterback of the football team and I was the Varsity Cheerleader. So stereotypical, but our relationship has been anything but that. We married young while in college and though we had plenty of people questioning our judgment, we would do it again in a heartbeat.

Three years into our marriage we were completely surprised at 30 weeks with a preterm delivery, itty bitty 3 pound baby boy, and a full 2 month summer stay in the NICU. When he was born 11 years ago, I began to search for a baby book-journal-something! to write down my thoughts and his milestones. Unable to find anything remotely my style, at the encouragement of my husband, I designed my own simply wanting to have something for myself to use. I started printing off copies from my home printer and making albums work as a baby book for shower gifts for friends and family and by God's grace, something began to flourish and Ruby Love was born. We now have 4 children and I use my Ruby Love Baby Books and School Years Albums for my own kids!

Being a mom is an experience like no other. So many new cares and responsibilities, crazy emotions and deeper love than you simply cannot explain. The moments that you feel like you will never forget begin to be replaced with more and more moments that make your heart just want to burst. That first smile, their first word- of course those are important to remember... but I wanted to provide moms a place to not only record the big milestones, but also the beauty in the everyday life of your precious little one. Funny things they said, embarrassing stories from the newborn stage (like me yelling and searching frantically all over the room in my sleep for the baby, while he safely slept in his bassinet next to our bed), beautiful space to write letters to your little one, reflections on each passing year- things that you never want to forget, but can be so hard to remember.

My desire for Ruby Love is to provide a place for you. A cute little place to help you remember. Mom brain is alive and well, we forget things! But there is something to be said for a handwritten baby book journaling your path through motherhood as a gift to your child and to yourself. I want to remember the hard days, the long nights, the little victories that feel like impressive major accomplishments. My Ruby Love baby book has plenty of space to pour out your heart and help you remember. There are prompts for helping remember the baby basics, but the heart of Ruby Love is you. Your family, your children, and your heart: giving to your children the gift of remembrance, something that we are so humbled to be a part of.
