I was taught to knit at about age nine by my Mum and after making a couple of jumpers promptly forgot all about it in favour of many other kinds of arts and crafts. My interest was rekindled as a teenager when my Mum pointed out that I could make myself the black mohair jumper I coveted. One trip to the wool shop later and I was (re)hooked!

My designs are mainly inspired by colour, especially the lovely tones achieved by hand dyeing. I love simple, wearable designs which don’t date and I draw inspiration from the natural world and from my travels, particularly in the US where I lived for ten years.

I try to use natural yarns and love the touch of luxury afforded by cashmere, silk and alpaca. I also try to use organic and fairtrade yarns whenever possible so that you can feel good about your purchases.
