My rescue dog Jack needed surgery and my town raised the money needed to save him. "Paying it Forward" became my mission for Ruff Life!
Ruff Life was created because of a rescue dog Jack needed emergency surgery and our community found out and raised the money to save him. I created a fundraising shirt and found that people still wanted to purchase it after he fundraising was over.
The entire experience was so overwhelming that I wanted to do something more...I wanted to "Pay it Forward" so the proceeds of each shirt went to helping our local shelters and rescue groups. I was then encouraged to start our own 501C3 non profit charity so we could do more. In 2013 our charity was approved and we starting making a difference.
Just recently our Jack has crossed over the rainbow bridge in July 2015. He will continue being our inspiration for more designs and products.
2016 we are starting a new project with a local hospice, helping their patients with contained care, relocation and fostering for their pets. We hope to make a difference for them in finding the solutions they request while receiving treatment. It's a project close to my heart and I hope we make a difference for the patients and their pets.
