Born in the late 70s in New Zealand - I had a very relaxed childhood - most of it was spent outside playing (unsupervised) In my family and very large extended family everyone seems to craft, DIY, build and make things. It was possibly very early on then that my love for interiors and making things started. Although I did Art at school I went on to do a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science at University. After University I did various Admin jobs and worked for an Advertising Agency before moving to England. The love of an English man has kept me here!! After a number of years living in London we moved up to Liverpool to be closer to my husband's family.

In 2014 when my youngest child started school I realized I couldn't face another office job and after selling a few pieces of painted furniture - the idea of Rustic & Stories came to me.
I started doing a few local craft shows and making a few rustic log decorations - more events have followed and many more products as well.

Most weekends involve walks or bike rides with my family locally but our favourite place is the Lake District. I can never just go for a walk, I always come back with with twigs and leaves and take lots of photos.
