4 out of 5 starsBeautiful and well made. I bought it for a gift. However, it was not wrapped well. The shipping box arrived damaged (which is not the shop’s fault) and the item was exposed inside. Although, there was bubble wrap, it was not enough to wrap the whole item and it apparently came off during shipping. I was a bit disappointed, expecting either the item to be in some kind of a gift box or at least wrapped and secured very well. I will be buying a box to hopefully make it as a more presentable gift. Again, beautiful piece of work, just needs more attention to wrapping & shipping.

Thank you for your review and we are glad our creation was not damaged and you are happy with your purchase. Unfortunately there is no possible way to protect products from any possible source of calamity. Our experience has proven our protection methods have been very successful to date, as this unfortunate event is only our 3rd calamity in excess of 1800 shipments. We have elected not to use "Gift Boxes" so that we can keep production and shipping costs as low as possible. Our experience with USPS has been very successful for 99.8% of all our shipments.

We specialize in rustic used horseshoes and bringing them new life.
Our story
We have been repurposing for decades before we ever knew what is was.
Each of our items are handcrafted and purposed to be useful or artistic decoration and sometimes both from material we have on our ranch Coyote Hill Land and Cattle or have acquired from neighbors.
We appreciate your interest in our work and trust that our creations will connect you with our heritage in some small way.
THE HISTORY BEHIND YOUR HORSESHOE:
Our neighbor and friend has been a horse farrier for years. These horseshoes have been worn from horses all over Colorado and the aluminum horseshoes have been worn by race horses and competitive rodeo horses here in Colorado. Each horseshoe we have has been worn by a horse for about 6 to 10 weeks or longer before it is carefully removed.
Once we receive the horseshoe, we then sand blast it and some are polished to shiny, some are left with the rustic effect and others are painted with color or clear protectant. No two horseshoes are exactly the same, if you look closely at the horseshoe, you can see the wear pattern and the dents and dings from the horse who wore the shoe so it adds character to the horseshoe. That’s what we love about our horseshoes!

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for my order to arrive once it ships?
All of our horseshoe items ship USPS Priority Mail. Which usually takes 2-3 business days. Our car and purse charms ship USPS First Class mail which on average takes 3-5 business days. These times may vary depending on location, weather conditions, and holidays. We are not responsible for shipping times once it leaves our shop and can not guarantee shipping times, because it’s out of our control.
How long will my custom order take to complete?
Custom orders are handmade at the time the order is placed, therefore approximately 3-5 business days to create before it’s ready to ship.
Are these horseshoes new or used?
99% of our horseshoes have been worn by a horse. On occasion we end up with a new horseshoe that fell into the bucket of used ones. You can read more about our horseshoes under the about section and descriptions.
Why are some horseshoes smaller than others
We use a wide variety of sizes from 000, 00, 0, to 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
We select the size shoe that best fits the design that we are creating. Therefore smaller pendants use the smaller shoes and the larger the pendant the bigger the shoe. We feel this way the design in the middle fits with the size shoe. All pre-designed horseshoe measurements are stated in the description.
Are your horseshoes made of steel or iron or aluminum?
Almost all the horseshoes we use are made of steel (steel is a mixture of iron and carbon). So they are also iron. We do occasionally use an aluminum horseshoe which are worn by racing horses and competitive horses which is a lighter shoe so it is not as heavy as steel but is a real horseshoe. When we use the aluminum horseshoe it is noted in the description.
Can I add my Horse’s name to any of your designs?
Yes, we can usually modify most of our other designs with an engraved name plate that centers at the bottom of the
horseshoe. Just message us in the note to seller section.
