About Rustic Rascal

I'm Rach, 28, from the Scottish Borders and I'm addicted to designing and crafting! Rustic Rascal was born in 2018 after creating my own wedding stationery. I made the terrifying decision to pack in my full time desk job and turn my hobby into a career, and thanks to people like you supporting my wee biz, I've never looked back!

I design cards, prints, small business stationery, stickers and wedding and party stationery. Then i handcut and handcraft everything at home!

I have a planet promise, ensuring that the products you buy from me are not only recyclable, but are made from recycled, FSC certified and bio-degradable materials too, including their packaging. i have a detailed environment policy on my website if you'd like to know more. I'm also passionate about shopping small and supporting local businesses too.

Along side my part time job, and fuelled on coffee and cake, I run Rustic Rascal from my home in the Scottish Borders with my furry fren Snicker who keeps me off my bum in between your orders. So far your support has enabled me to secure my first stockist and also invest in exciting new machinery. I have over 2K Etsy sales and a 5 star rating across Etsy and Facebook, 2020 has seen the small business stationery side of my service grow bigger than the occasion side... I'm just going with the flow! I'm thankful for every single order I get, whether its for £3 or £300, because without each and every customer I wouldn't be able to chase my dream.

POST DELAYS - can I be refunded or return for late post?

Unfortunately not, I have no control over the post. The only thing I can control is my processing time which I always meet and I will always ship it on time. I literally can't do anything to speed it up. My descriptions warn of delays and ask for no rush or priority orders. Please be patient with Royal Mail. I share your frustration 100% as its detrimental to my biz reputation too! If your item's late, please don't ask for a refund, respect that I've done all I can. Please also think twice before factoring this into any feedback you leave. Please only factor into your review the item itself and the service you receive from me, not the service you received from royal mail. Let's all just be kind, patient and show some understanding. Thanks x


Whilst I'm closed for Christmas i am still happy to help by providing you proof of postage when requested to reassure you when it was sent. So you're still welcome to get in touch about it. Just be kind when you're messaging me about it because I'm just as upset as you when items don't arrive on time! This issue with delayed post is absolutely off the scale, across the entire UK. The delays are signifant too, some are 2 or even 3 weeks behind. The areas affected seem to be random, e.g. some of my 2nd class shipments to the other end of the UK have arrived quicker than local 1st class... that's how unreliable it is.


I can accept returns for NON personalised items only when you have contacted me within 14 days of receiving the item to tell me you wish to return it. You cover the return postage cost, and i'll inspect its condition on return. You'll be refunded if I receive it back in re-saleable condition.

I do not accept returns or exchanges or refunds for ALL PERSONALISED ORDERS. This is standard policy which always applies, this has nothing to do with covid delays. This is because these items are made especially for you and cannot be resold.

I will consider returns/exhanges/refunds/replacements for any item which arrives damaged, providing you have sent me clear photos of the damage within 14 days of the product arriving with you.
