Announcement
I am a mixed media and collage artist who loves the process of hunting and gathering supplies and materials that can be used in art and journals. A lot of my finds are turned into art journals, junk journals and travel journals ready for you to use. But I love collecting so much that my art room is filled to the brim and I have decided to offer some of my collection to you as inspiration kits! My hope is that you will find something to inspire your creativity and these materials can find a home in one of your pieces!
I offer free shipping on all my items, so you can buy as many items as you like without worrying about shipping costs.
I am called Rutabaga Stuff in memory of my brother, who was a member of a popular local band called the Rutabaga Boogie Band.

About RutabagaStuff
I love junk!
I see art in everything! I am always saving pieces of paper, packaging and ephemera that I think might be useful. I scour the sidewalks for interesting bits that I might use in my art. Rusty stuff and vintage paper always catch my eye, but it can be anything, really that could be used. My favorite thing to do is use items destined for the landfill or even recycle bin and use them to make something beautiful and functional!
After awhile, I had collected so much stuff, that I started making junk journals, art journals and packets of the interesting stuff I find and offering them for sale. Broken down books that no one else wants are often the starting point for a junk journal; embellishments are made from scraps and bits of fabric and worn out vintage linens. I supplement my finds with some new papers as well, but most of my work is a patchwork of all those yummy bits and pieces I have found and hoarded over the years.
I myself use junk journals to keep track of daily life and document vacations and special occasions. Others use them as art journals, bullet journal, travels journals, whatever! Use your imagination and try out the world of junk journaling. Enjoy!
