Adorable high quality pup that is the perfect size for my Tammy Doll as a collectors item. I wouldn't subject this lovely creature to typical play.

About

All Art is Sacred

I have always loved creating some form of art. I started off drawing, got into painting and beading in my teen years and just kept trying new things as I got older. I tried doing a few craft shows and did fairly well, so when I heard about Etsy, decided to try out a store here.

I love it when someone loves what I create enough to want to own it. It is not just the sale, but that someone saw something in my work that spoke to them. I love making people happy.

I make all of my creations here at home. I do Needle Feting, bead embroidery necklaces and Spirit Dolls, and drawing. I do a few others but these are my main ones.

I am inspired by nature, mostly animals. There is so much beauty, and cuteness there. And I love being able to convey that.

I have created several lines: Hen Feathers are whimsical chickens using real chicken feathers; Alphabet Pets are needle felted on wooden blocks: PETites are tiny needle felted animals: Catspaw Bears are my needle felted and hand sewn Teddy bears with a cat's paw print felted onto the back; and Kitten Kaboodles and Puppy Doodles are simple needle felted cats and dogs.

Have been drawing and creating since first grade. I feel a need to create and do not feel complete unless I am. Living off grid, growing our own food, I am not only creating art but my life also. I love animals & this shows in much of my art.

Hi and welcome to Sacred Cat Studio. My art is lovingly made from the pure joy of creating. I hope my pieces will speak to your soul and they will find a happy home. I believe that the beauty and cuteness of nature is important to have in our lives and want to share that with all.
About Needle Felting
Needle felting is the art of using a barbed needle to create three-dimensional felt objects. Traditional felting uses heat, moisture, and agitation to cause the scales on the wool fiber to cling together, or felt. In needle felting, the barb on the needle achieves the same outcome. To create the body, I start with the basic shape and repeatedly insert the needle into the wool fibers. The more times you insert the needle, the tighter and firmer the felt becomes. Once I have my basic shape, I add wool in small bits and shape it as I go along to create the legs, head, etc. This is a long, painstaking process and can take many hours to many days to finish one piece. The smaller the project, the more difficult it is to get detail. Each creation comes alive in my hands and I feel a piece of myself becomes a part of them.
