Sadie Jewelry Design Vintage, Found Object and Assemblage Jewelry

I started this shop 4 years ago. At that time I had just began to decide what kind of jewelry I wanted to make. I've tried all types and styles of jewelry making. I suppose many go through that. I just couldn't decide what I wanted to concentrate on.

This year (2014) i took a jewelry making class from a jewelry designer who I really admired. I loved her style and something stirred in me. The class started me on a path to assemblage jewelry using found objects, vintage jewelry supplies and anything unusual that I could make jewelry with. I had found my niche !!

I can't tell you how excited I am to finally be on what I think is the right path for me in my jewelry making exploits. I have since been haunting antique stores and even thrift stores and garage sales. I am totally fascinated with the things that you can find for jewelry making if you just look.

I am developing an eye to quickly determine if an object or piece of vintage jewelry is something that I can use. For me the shabbier an object is the more I am drawn to it.

For those of you who view my story please continue on my journey with me.

I have a blog where I talk about what i'm doing and my new jewelry creations. I hope you will be as excited as I am and follow my journey. Watch as I evolve to finally find my own unique style of assemblage and found object jewelry.

And look around my store to find something that is of interest to you and come back often as I will be adding jewelry often.
