Absolutely gorgeous jewlery.

This ring is exquisitely made, fits perfectly, and I'm so very happy with it! I was initially reluctant to have a custom order completed at a distance and to place the order over the internet. (I did use a travel debit card, not a regular debit or credit card.) However, happily, Saedis was completely responsive to my needs and emails, making sure that during her busy summer season, she completed the ring in time that it arrived for my birthday. Saedis is most dependable, a highly skilled craftswoman, an inventive designer, and warmhearted person. With gratitude for your beautiful work and spirit, Saedis!
Who am I?
My name is Sædís Bauer
I am born and raised in Iceland but I moved to The United States 2012. I am a mother, I have one son, I am happily married and own a beautiful Dog and a Cat. My passion is to design and make fine jewelry.
The year 2006 I changed my career and studied Jewelry manufacturing and repair in a full time program at North Bennet Street School in Boston and graduated 2009. I went back to Iceland and joined a Coop Art gallery where I sold my jewelry among 9 other artists. In 2010 I renovated an old fishermans hut and openend my own Boutique at the Old Harbor in Reykjavik, Iceland and ran it for 3 1/2 years.
I closed my store and moved to America with my husband in 2012.
I run my studio and sell my designs online and in few stores.
I make all my designs with my hands. I saw with my jewelers saw, I forge with my hammers, texture with my files and dapping tools and solder with my torch. I make one of a kind pieces which is becoming very rare in today's mass manufacturing world.
I love everything about nature, architecture, art, food and design. My jewelry designs have motion, texture and character from the emotions I wake up when I see something interesting and beautiful around me.
I aspire to make quality jewelry and I am always adding on to my technical skills for future projects.
As a small studio jeweler and an entrepreneur I take care of all the things around my business. I am the only employer and I work hard.
If you don't find what you are looking for - just ask! I might have it. ;)
