∆S...☢☣✂✂ Ten Years of making SAFETY THIRD tees for your pyro pleasure!! ∆S
Since 2006! I Believe in the Spirit of True Handmade... Safety 3rd! Modified classic SAFETY symbols & original tshirt designs. The art is in my combination. I hand screen all graphic tees in my store. I do my own designs, burn the handmade screens, chose unique placement, and hand pull the ink.
Many of my handmade graphic tees are One of a Kind! Or the inconsistencies and color variations of these hand-pulled screenprint shirts make them so. Boring plastic "perfection" lives at the mall.

4 out of 5 starsI really like this shirt. Cool design and fits as expected. However shipping and processing took far longer than it said on the item and it was weeks before it was shipped out. I was worried it wasn't going to be here in time (despite ordering a month in advance) to be given as a gift and had to contact the seller several times.

4 out of 5 starsI wish the red on the print matched the red on the sleeves. I also don't like the way it fit, but it might not be the most flatting style on some people. It also took a little longer to ship than I had anticipated. However the design is cute and it is cotton, so I will definitely be wearing it to spin fire.

5 out of 5 starsI know I'm going to get arrested in this shirt someday. btw - Large means LARGE. I'm 6' tall and 220 pounds and there's plenty of room in the shirt for my future growth.

About SafetyThird

Peaches is sending a confusing message, but she sure is having Fun™!
-
Burning Man is where I discovered Safety Third, although I think I've always practiced it.

Yup, as we see here: Jackalope's ST3, despite neither trigger nor shells.
-
Burning creations in a BAF™ (Big-Ass Fire) is mandatory.

So old-school, I even handmake my screens. Making them modular gives me creative flexibility to combine in unique ways.
Safety Third. That is All.
Safety Third is a philosophy that goes way back among those who attend Burning Man. I started making these Safety Third shirts for my Burner friends back in 2006, & they encouraged me to share our attitude with the rest of the world! I did not invent the phrase -- it's one that's owned by all!
An attitude born from those daily bombardments of exhortations of "SAFETY FIRST", and deadly boring meetings about on-the-job safety. From those poor souls who find their shoulders bent with the weight of safety manuals, safety missions, safety recommendations.
"Hell yes, we know how to be safe -- we're adults", say the poor pathologists and engineers and rocket scientists and computer geeks and gamers, who secretly long for the dangerous days of yore when kids could be boys and tomboys. So they go out into the desert to blow things up, and go to Burning Man to build and burn.
Throughout America, those responsible people who question authority all know It means that Safety is near the top of the list of considerations. But you do not let every bit of fun and spontaneity and exhuberance and excitement be obliterated by the bureaucrats and mothers who would insist on the Safety Imperative:
>> You must wear oven mitts when holding your coffee cup.
>> You put pontoon-like wheels on bicycles so they don't fall over.
>> You put diapers on dogs so they don't have an "accident".
>> You don't go outside after dark in fun neighborhoods.
>> They put rubber tips on your sewing scissors.
>> And tell you to never, never, RUN WITH SCISSORS!!!
....and now that you know the definition of Safety Third -- wear one of my shirts to prove it!
They're each hand-pulled, with ink mixed as I go, This means I can do color combos on multiple pulls. And since my safety images are modular, I can put them where ever, and combine them however, you wish. Many of my sales have been those custom combos.
Create your Safety dream shirt!
a short footnote: I got my Master's in lichen physiological ecology, from work in the Brooks Range of Alaska...while at Arizona State University, in the Sonoran Desert. I changed to neuropathology research after my son was born with a developmental disability. And so that's where the Down Syndrome awareness tees come from -- you will see him as a model for the larger shirts. He's a "Burner", too!

Paradoxes, opposites, contrasts, impossibilities interest me. Fell in love with the arctic hitchhiking to the Russian border in Norway, so I got a BAs in Botany and Scandinavian at UC Berkeley. I'm now in the desert. First Burning Man 2000. Home.
