Announcement   Warm greetings from our newly acquired campus in the bucolic American Middle-West! Because we believe that a nice discount does as much to warm a body's heart as one of my hand-knit mufflers, please enjoy discounted shopping and free shipping as we welcome spring fever to campus!

The headmistress's office at The Sagbottom Home for Wayward Girls is a veritable treasure-trove of confiscated distractions. Seized items which are deemed completely inappropriate for preparing our young women for useful lives are offered here, to a less discerning community.

As acting curator, I'm also continually culling our archives and for obsolete items which may also be of interest to collectors.

At times, the industrious young ladies in our arts and crafts continuum may present their handiwork, to earn pocket money for week-end entertainments.

Oh! Our herbology professor, Matilda Tisane, has worked with a purveyor of fine tea blends to create and offer many blends commemorating our girls, including yours truly. Find out more here: https://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/group.html?group=4620

About

Wayward weirdness, for peculiar girls (and boys).

I've always been a treasure-hunter. The Sagbottom Home for Wayward Girls has had a home on the Internet since 2001, when it was a virtual curio shop of goofy photo galleries, literary e-cards, and a chatty old-fashioned blog. The Etsy shop of the same name isn't overly different from the website of yore!

I wanted my Etsy shop to be the sort of place i personally love to shop. I don't like to just buy things... I like to buy tangible histories, bits and pieces that spark my imagination and tell me a story. That's what we strive to do here, and boy, do we have fun with it.

I hope our visitors do too!

If I displayed every treasure I find, my place would look like Pee-wee's Playhouse. Not a bad thing, but way too much to dust. The shop is a place to share the stuff I love, and to tell stories. My customers don't just buy stuff, they visit my world.

Additional policies and FAQs
Cats do roam fairly freely at the Sagbottom Home for Wayward Girls, but are not helpful in any way whatsover in regards to shop duties, and our shop wares do not interest them in the least. And there is definitely no smoking allowed. My goodness.
