About Sahasa

Sales 305
On Etsy since 2014

"I strive to create inspirational art that offers a small slice of tranquility from day to day. It's my mission to provide such creations that are a little oasis in a world that asks much and pressures to perform."

Art By Sahasa is a small business based in the Netherlands, Europe. The artist behind this venture is a mixed media creator and has collectors in 37+ US States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, European Countries, the Middle East and (South East) Asia.

Sahasa uses materials such as polymer clay, copper wire and resin to build octopus sculptures, miniature koi ponds, sun-catchers and other artworks entirely by hand.

Made with the goal to create art that offers a unique blend of harmony, tranquility and peace to its collectors. Bringing a new dose of joy every time you see the work, discovering a new detail and taking a moment of rest.

If you enjoy detailed work with a sense of calm, you've come to the right place. My octopus pieces and ocean themed sun-catchers are a playful, affectionate tribute to the ocean while my ponds are designed to be harmonious and balanced.

If you have affinity with water, be it salty or sweet, one of my detailed display pieces may just be what you're after. For yourself or maybe as a gift to a friend, family member or significant other. Maybe the marine biologist, conservationist, aquarium keeper or scuba diver in your life?

For orders under £135, Etsy.com automatically collects VAT. Your parcel will then be labelled with a VAT PAID sticker and you should not be charged upon delivery.

For orders over £135 Etsy.com does NOT collect VAT. You will be charged VAT / handling fees by your Postal Service. Artwork is exempt of import duties.

To check this, simply add your items to cart and see if you are charged VAT. If there is no line for VAT, you will be charged by your postal service.

Please add your telephone number to your order information if you are not automatically charged VAT (UK orders only.)

This is not applicable if you are in Northern Ireland. If your order is under £135 and you are not charged VAT you will not be charged upon delivery either.

Custom and personalized orders

Custom orders, commission work, requests or other related projects are not available at this time.

You are always welcome to ask about future availability of a certain type of work.

What is the clear stuff in your ponds & octopus pieces?

UV Stabilized Epoxy Resin. Although clear and high gloss, resin (the substance that looks like water) is entirely rock hard and won't go anywhere.

Aside from simulating water in my artworks it also keeps everything in place and creates a protective hard varnish-like layer around the work.

As mentioned, the resin has been UV stabilized but may discolor if placed in direct sunlight / UV light for long periods (multiple years), like any other artwork it is considered best practice to keep the work away from direct UV light sources, extreme temperatures and rapidly fluctuating temperatures.
