The shop owner was very responsive and quickly told me she was away from the shop and when to expect the item. I purchased it for my husband with our daughter's initial and he loved it. Shop owner even included a lovely note thanking us for the purchase. Would definitely order from her again!

Simple Handcrafted Metal Clay Jewelry for Moms and All
After relocating to Washington State, my husband and I made the decision to take a path less followed and to homeschool our three children. While it isn’t a life we'd ever imagined, it's challenging, consuming and fulfilling all at the same time. I soon realized that I wanted an element in my life different from curriculum and the constant running that any mom does.
So....I turned to my surroundings and opened myself up to the inspiration of the sea and mountains. My family began collecting sea glass from area beaches and I created jewelry from those pieces. With jewelry design in my realm of thought, I discovered Precious Metal Clay. It seemed to be a perfect fit for me...kinesthetic, or "hands on". I love touching the clay to form and finish it and it seemed a perfect combination for our found sea glass. Thus, my business was born....inspired from silver 'n' sea.
I’ve claimed a quaint space in the back of my forest home as my studio and between homeschool lesson planning and instruction I continue challenging myself to improve and master PMC skills. I keep adding to the tools and materials that I need to create jewelry with fine silver and other metal clays. Somehow it seems fitting that I continue learning the ins and outs of metal clay and jewelry making while my children are learning at home.
I look for inspiration in the world around me when designing. I love creating fine silver pieces from molds I've crafted from found objects----a moon snail shell or a vintage button or antique drawer pull. I look for interesting texture to add to my pieces, particularly my mothers jewelry, something I particularly connect with. I've focused on adding special meaning to my pieces---by adding a meaningful word or choosing a symbolic motif to adorn a given piece. I love combining meaningful stones or a piece of genuine sea glass with my metal clay jewelry to add to their unique qualities.
It is an honor to hear little bits and pieces from my customers----the names that the initials on their initial jewelry represent or about the special occasion they purchased their jewelry for. I appreciate hearing that my creations have meaning to my customers which is one of my goals in creating metal clay jewelry.
I welcome the challenge of crafting custom pieces. I've added a stamp-maker to my arsenal of tools giving me the ability to make custom stamps for your one of a kind piece of metal clay jewelry or can alter one of my existing designs to suit your needs perfectly.
I strive to use high quality materials such as locking jump rings and sterling silver chains and components. My goal is to create a quality piece that will last a very long time. You will find my customer service to be top notch. The customer is always right.
I truly feel blessed for the life I have been given. I hope you've enjoyed learning a little more about me and my shop philosophies. I hope you find meaning in your day and have a great piece of jewelry to remind you of that meaning!!!!

I'm Lisa and I live with my family on beautiful Bainbridge Island, WA, west of Seattle. I'm an artist, homeschool mom and wife. I create unique and meaningful pieces of metal clay jewelry. I hope you enjoy my creations!
My fine silver pieces are crafted from Precious Metal Clay, a medium that requires a multi step process. I hand roll, stamp and cut the silver clay. It is dried, sanded, fired in my kiln and then tumbled. I antique my pieces by hand using liver of sulfur and gilders paste for added color and drama. I then hand polish and touch up the antiquing if suitable for the design. The end result is a completely hand made, rustic feeling and dimensional piece of PMC jewelry.
I love looking for interesting textures in the world around me, creating molds of these textures and seeing them transformed into fine silver jewelry. I strive to use quality components in my pieces (sterling or fine silver metals & hard locking jump rings) and to create unique, one of a kind handmade silver jewelry.
I use genuine seaglass in some my pieces, collected by my family and I from nearby, beautiful Northwest beaches. I hand drill each piece, use sterling silver or fine silver components and often mix this seaglass with my fine silver pieces.
My items are hand made to order and will look very close to what you see in my photos. Please know that you will see slight variations in my pieces due to their hand made nature.
My work is truly handmade and of my own design. I hope you enjoyed learning about my artisan process and that you are inspired by each piece.

Because WA businesses must charge destination-based sales tax, WA state residents will be charged 9.5% sales tax. I will reimburse the extra amount of tax charged to you, if your city tax rate is less than this. Due to the variations in each counties tax rates, it is very difficult to charge the correct amount of sales tax at the time of checkout. My apologies and thank you for your understanding.
No sales tax is collected for items that are shipped to an out-of-state location.
Please email me with cancellation requests.
