Trying To Make You Happy

I grew up crafting. The basement had a giant cupboard of supplies and boxes of "rescued" odds-and-ends. I could put them together however I wanted. My mom was (and is) an avid fibre crafter and she encouraged me to be creative. I dreamed of creating and selling things that people loved as much as they loved my mom's sweaters and hats.

In early 2012, I was laid off from a company job. I'd worked hard while there to learn to draw. They wanted me to be a graphic artist, and drawing was not a craft I'd grown up around!

Suddenly, I had a lot of time on my hands to make things. And these are the things I'm making!

As a kid, I always dreamed of making something that people wanted to talk about and to have. I wanted my work to make people happy. And now Salsola Kali is spreading my work around the world! I can only hope it's spreading happiness, too.

Salsola Kali is a one-girl one-laptop operation. The official office is a desk in my basement, but the real creating happens wherever Garik the Laptop and I are currently drinking coffee.

Salsola Kali is the Latin name for Russian thistle, the pre-tumbleweed. When mature, the thistle breaks away from its roots and rolls away, scattering seeds as it goes—creating the tumbleweed we all know and love.

I've spent a lot of time sitting in one place, dreaming of sharing my art with people, dreaming my work will make people happy. And now Salsola Kali is spreading my work around the world!

I'm more than open to creating custom orders to get you exactly what you want. Please convo me about anything! My policy is to respond to any convo message within 24 hours, day or night.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Nothing customized can be refunded once created.

I cannot control damage done during shipping. But I want my customers to be happy! If your item arrives damaged, please convo me with details and preferably pictures to show what went wrong. We'll work something out to get you replacement items.
I take payment through PayPal, which will allow you to pay with either a credit card or your own PayPal account. Orders will be processed after payment is completely received by me.

Customized items can be ordered. Prior to payment, I will provide you with digital proofs so that you can confirm the work meets your expectations. I will print the work after I receive payment in full for the product. At that point, the product is now non-refundable, as it was created specially for you.
I ship via Canada Post. Most paperwork items ship lettermail. Upgraded shipping, for faster delivery and/or tracking, is available at cost. If you want upgraded shipping, please convo me prior to ordering so that I can provide you an accurate quote.

Your product will be wrapped in cellophane, or other water-resistant material, and placed in a bubble-wrap envelope. Your shipping charge covers both postage and the materials used to safely transport your order.

Items will generally ship the day after payment is complete. If there is a situation preventing that, you will be contacted within 24 hours.

International buyers are responsible for any and all customs fees.
